Domain Spotlight:

Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Thursday, October 28th , 2021

A few nice things happened yesterday.

One, Ford crushed earnings. As I expected their sales were a little better than expected. And as expected their margins were the best they’ve ever had. Because cars go for sticker now. They have all followed the Tesla model and you order a car and they make it for you. Price as listed. No negotiating. A car dealer is about to become a used car dealer and a service center. They will get a little cut of a new car for handling the process but otherwise they are out of the negotiation process. Ford also reinstated the dividend to .10 a quarter which is a few percent return. So it’s happening like I thought it would. Honestly I think it reaches the all time high of 40 next year and I put my options where my mouth is. So far so good.

The other thing that happened was the domain community supporting my friend Joe Ruiz who is an artist/illustrator that I have used for projects for over a decade. Met him on eLance and have been working with him ever since. When NFTs came around I called him up and told him it was perfect for his talents. He released his first a few days ago and domain investors not only bought his pieces but they helped him with some technical stuff and in general were so supportive. He was so emotional about the whole thing. Said he had never seen such support for his art or as a person. I told him the domain community is like that. A family. Not everyone gets along but those that do really help each other. Both personally and in domain investing. I told him I feel like I could get help at any time from fellow domain investors. When my daughter got a flat tire and I jokingly asked if anyone was near her to change it there were actually a few people that said they would drive to help. (I called AAA). For every asshat there are 20 amazing people. Joe got to see that and I was proud of all of you. Glad to be a part of an incredible community.
