NamesCon is coming up and this year I won’t be attending. I have a lot of traveling this year and while I’d love to see a bunch of you, I wasn’t asked to be on any panels by the NamesCon team and the people that did end up asking asked over the last few weeks. By then I had already made my plans. We are moving our daughter to Princeton next week and my wife and I are heading for a week or two in the mountains of NC. We work while we’re there but its super relaxing. Our family has a place there and this time we’re looking for one for ourselves. Hoping house price will settle a little. The rental market is going to be the last to fall because its income producing and people with cash are looking for exactly that.
More good news is my company is getting out of the snow plow business. We had a company vote and asked the employees their least favorite part of the job and snow removal was number one. So it was an easy decision. Its a good amount of revenue but it ruins winter. You can never relax because you’re always worried about snow. You can’t leave and relax because it might snow. So we are going to sell salt. Its not as much money but I’d rather provide the materials for the snow removal than do it. And loading pallets and scoops of salt is easy. It also only takes one person and we have plenty of people to do it. So my Snowplower dot com is now on the market (it always was). Now I need to start looking for salt names
