Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday, January 30th, 2023

I sold 2 of my cars this past few weeks. I had my daughter’s High School and college car, an older model Subaru Outback, and my daily driver, a 2013 Ford Explorer. Both purchased used. One beat to shit. One in great shape. My daughter’s car ran great but when we bought it we assumed she would hit a few things and we were completely correct minus the few. She hit everything.

I put her car at $2500 and I had over FIFTY people say they would take it without even seeing it. I knew I had it was a little low but we didn’t pay all that much more and got 8 years of her driving it every day. I was more than happy to get that price. It sold in a day, all cash, easy peasy .Time to sell the next one. I had my Explorer detailed and put it up at 12K. I was now an expert after my daughters car, so I figured it would take 24hrs. Crickets. I had 2 or 3 people say they would give 10K but otherwise not even a come by and look. So I waited a week to see what would happen. Still nothing. 11K. Nothing. I had these on Facebook marketplace, so I Facebook stalked the other people that had offered 10K and found one of the people that was buying it for his wife. He looked handy and laid concrete for a living. I told him I could do 10.5K cash. He was super excited and came the next day. Drove it, put it on a trailer and paid all cash. Not nearly as easy as the other car but that’s because I didn’t have it priced to move. There also are a lot more choices at 10K than 2.5K for cars that run.

Selling used cars is something I really don’t like doing. All the test driving and people giving lowball prices. Sounds a lot like domains. But a domain doesn’t have a bad strut that every time they hit a pothole they want to take off money. I still got it done and so happy to clear out the driveway. Since I’m retired and my wife works from home, we have no need for very many cars. I hope to get a Tesla or hybrid at some point but I have one more Subaru to get rid of to get that. Why so many cars? I never sold any of my cars. Literally not one car I’ve ever owned. I just kept them at the nursery for employees to borrow or gave them to employees. With 40 employees there was always someone that needed to borrow a car because theirs broke down or had to go to the shop. It was my free rental. We now have enough extra trucks I didn’t think my cars were necessary, so I sold them. But I’m going to stick to domains from here

Domain of the Day: SmileRight.com and Dentalign.com I like SmileRight better. The exact same type of names. Probably comes down to trademarks

Quote of the Day: “The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.” ― Mark Twain, The Wit and Wisdom of Mark Twain

Namejet, Sedo, and Catched.com Names at Auction

TSD.ink Can’t look past the great parking rev. Pays back quickly but all depends on how long revenue will come in

Scraping.pro With AI giving the ability to scrape video, photos, texts, etc. I think this name may be worth more than just the $13 mostly parking rev

IZ.vc We still doing dot vc names?

NSEO.com Pending deleter. Going to be a hot commodity wherever it lands

Grim.com Its pending delete so it could land anywhere. Might as well put a bid in everywhere

702.org At the low end of the reserve range so this NNN.org may get there

ZZSU.com Met reserve at $400. ZZ is a tough acronym but still pretty memorable

Sherrard.com Quite a few people have this last name. Maybe one of them has a ton of money and is vain

AgWeather.com Another pending delete. Ag workers check the weather all the time. Their job depends on it

Tonight.org Obviously a memorable known keyword. Exactly the type I like in dot org if I can get them cheap enough. No reserve here

OBHH.com Has a chance to make reserve. H for holdings

LabStudio.com Get both art/nft names for one low low price

I.ar as short of a domain as you’re going to get. AR=augmented reality ?

DeepArt.ai Solid AI art maker name

Beefly.com BEE FLY BEEFly. Either way, almost at 5 figures already

Godaddy Domains With Bids

GoodFriday.com We all know why its the most bids on the board and almost at 10K. So many uses. Religious use and Black Friday type name

0621.com 4N and starts with Zero which for some reason is more desirable to many people

1784.com Has a 4 but also has an 8. This one is actually going for more than the above but I bet it switches

IdealSkin.com What so many women (and Men) are searching for. Billions of dollars in products sold looking for exactly this

SocialCharts.com The big money in the future is taking this crazy amount of data out there and putting it in digestible, easy to use formats

RoadToWealth.com Is paved with patience, hard work, and lots of luck

CoalCountry.org I can see this on a lot of Trump Country signs

RemoteItJobs.com A lot of layoffs may actually help build this site

ReadyToTravel.com Have passport will travel

AMrx.com The RX will get this 5X the normal 4L.com auction price IMO

InvestingUniversity.com Perfect name to sell courses on how to be a better investor

RentersChoice.com Surprised this was taken in only 8 extensions. I can see this being like Rent-A-Center type place

Entic.com and Infaction.com Two dictionary words that I will never ever use

TutorServices.com Let’s be honest. Your kid is probably smarter than you by 7th grade

SkinCancerTreatment.com Good SEO name but would be an odd company name. Only for marketing or leads

MuscleStack.com Perfect supplement name IMO

Godaddy with One Bid or Fewer

TopModel.co

RhinoService.com

EcoHomeLiving.com

LiquidThunder.com

Finalize.org

PoweredByWomen.com

88Tips.com

MadTurtle.com

SupremeSmoke.com
