The month of July ends today, and I didn’t sell a single domain. That doesn’t happen very often. It has lit a fire under me, and I realize I need to reduce the prices of my lesser-quality domains or drop them altogether. I have some names that receive very few offers, and they need to be sold, even if it means doing so at a lower price. I pulled up the spreadsheet again and made sure to include all the necessary information: purchase prices, acquisition dates, inquiry numbers, Godaddy valuations, as well as the prices of the domains in the registration path of Godaddy and the price that shows up when you type in the domain.
I want to ensure that the prices are somewhat similar and analyze their worth. Value is subjective, but I believe I can determine the value of these domains as well as anyone. However, using Godaddy’s database is helpful, especially for assessing the lesser-quality names. While my purchase price doesn’t matter all that much, I would like to make sure I am valuing the name at least 10 times its cost. It’s time to start moving names and refreshing the portfolio. I need to start generating some cash. Being a poor retired man with more time than money, it’s time to put much more effort into domain investing.
Speaking of putting in some time, I worked on the Beehouse.com site this weekend. I added some fresh pictures and finally got the product reviews up. I received 57 reviews, and every single one of them was a 5-star rating, which was really nice. I am also expanding Beehouse by adding Blackberry, a new flavor, and more Tupelo, which is considered one of the best honeys. I think you’ll like both of them. Stay tuned!
Domain of the Day: CancerSpecialists.com Such a valuable name IMO. Maybe the largest industry in the world
Quote of the Day:
A genius! For 37 years I’ve practised fourteen hours a day, and now they call me a genius!

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
