I’ve been keen on establishing connections with young startups, entrepreneurs, and emerging technologies. One of the most effective methods to discover them is through Reddit and Twitter. While many people use LinkedIn for networking, it isn’t a reliable source for emerging trends. Reddit covers a wide range of topics through its subreddits, catering to virtually any interest. Individuals eagerly share their projects and engage in discussions, making it an excellent gateway to explore various subjects. This often leads to a deep dive into a topic, although sometimes it’s purely out of curiosity and becomes a huge timesink.
I must confess that frequently, the rabbit holes I jump into offer little more than mindless opinion and info, that turns into time sinks. However, the underlying goal is that one of these explorations might lead to a valuable contact in the future. Reddit is a great resource for discovering potential domain names related to new tech or niche sectors.
Reddit has also been a sold source of information for stock trading. Users share hours of their research, and for buying groups while, probably illegal are good to jump on.
Again, it can be a huge timesink but I don’t think there’s a single place on the Internet that brings a more diverse collection of discussion. So that’s where I hunt. Just have to wade through the crazy which ironically is where some of the best stuff is hidden
