I’m heading out to LA to see the entire Sherpa gang (minus Drew) next week. JT, Jen, Adam, Braden, and a few more people. I realized I’ve been friends with this group for over a decade and Adam for almost 15 years. Despite having another career beyond domain investing I’ve become great friends with people in our space and even stay at their homes with them while I’m in town. In every industry, there are people that don’t get along but I’ve found in this one there is great comradery and friendship here. You can never have too many friends and people who root for you and help you along. Of course, you have to be willing to do the same and be a good friend. I’m working on that.
Morgan Linton and I are also going to HK in November. I met Morgan on my first day of domain investing and he was one of the first people that showed me kindness at my first domain conference. Showed me around Las Vegas, and introduced me to other people in the space. That was in 2009 and since then we’ve watched each other throw darts and try so many things in the search of learning and making money. We’ve watched each other grow up and flourish and in November we’ll celebrate that success. Going to be a great fall with friends.
