The whole Sherpa gang was in LA this week and recorded an in-person show. We all agreed that in-person podcasts and programming is so much better because you can really play off the other guests in a way that you can’t do on Zoom. Obviously it’s not affordable to have people fly in from around the world to do most podcasts, but those that do like Rogan have much higher quality content and interaction. You also increase the comfort levels and it lets you go places you wouldn’t through a screen. Because there’s banter and interaction before the shows. Maybe a dinner before or a lunch. Things that bond you and then translate that relationship onto the screen.
I think the same goes for in-person work. While I fully support and like remote work, I think its 100% necessary to have in person events or days where everyone comes together. It’s a deeper and stronger bond than through a screen. I don’t think you need an office but I think you need somewhere to meet a few times a year. Breaking into subgroups and taking a “retreat” in some city. Work and play trips. It sounds expensive but it’s a lot cheaper than paying rent all year.
I didn’t necessarily think like this earlier in the year but the Sherpa get together gave me the “I get it moment”

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
