One of the things I’ve noticed since I retired from the nursery and moved into domain sales and advising is how fast time now flies. I liked my old job but the hours moved slowly. Even my runs in the morning seemed to take longer. My mind has definitely changed. Either I’m getting old and it has stopped banking events in my brain to give me a sense of time, or I’ve moved into a state of flow.
When I ran that 55-mile run, each loop of 4 miles seemed like 5 minutes. The 10 minutes I rested seemed like a half hour but once I was running I would kind of wake up and it would be done. My day is like that now. I lean into the computer, do my thing and it’s lunchtime. Eat, get back to work, and it’s dinner. It’s a little scary because this year seemed like a blip. Yet I was all over the world and lived in Colorado for the summer. Sometimes it feels like yesterday and other times years ago.
My partner Kate Buckley pointed out a Tim Ferriss post about not having New Year’s Resolutions but rather an End of Year analysis about what went well and what didn’t and trying to build on the positives and avoid the negatives. I certainly am going to do this for several reasons. One, to improve my productivity and happiness in the coming years, and two, to remind myself of all the things I did. To reset them in my brain so I have memories. I was so busy and traveled so much I think it’s lumped all together. So I am going to go through the photos and write a summary of my thoughts for each month. Writing helps improve my recall so writing about each month will keep it there. At least that’s my plan.

Quote of the Day: “Volatility is the price of admission. The prize inside are superior long-term returns. You have to pay the price to get the returns.” Morgan Housel

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details. All names were chosen by us, Shane, Travis, and/or Josh . Everything we say is based on our research or is opinion. Do your due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, registrars, and individuals that are auctioning names. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
