I’m probably like most people, and watched the latest dot AI auctions on Monday and just shook my head. Prices were crazy. Although higher wholesale prices should help retail prices. The only issue being I think some of the auction prices were pretty much retail. Trick.ai above $20K? Maybe I’m just not smart enough to see that as a $200K name. I say $200K because I think you need to get 10X on most names to pay for the names that don’t sell.
I only bought one name, Mediq. I like IQ names and I think it just works as an AI name. The established company on the dot com also owns the dot io. Under $1K and I think it’s a 10K name. It was also nice doing it through Dynadot so I didn’t have to put money down on the lower names and it automatically will go in my account. The main site is a deposit and then you have to transfer at some point. This is my first year trying to buy and sell domains for a living so it will be interesting to see how we do.
