I have been fired one time in my life.
I was a trader and borrowed a million dollars from a very famous trader. The split was 80/20. He kept 80% of the profits, I kept 20. You say that sounds terrible but that was what everyone got at my age. There were simple rules. A limit on percentage of my bank that I could trade. No trades held during big events aka go delta neutral before. I held a trade during a Fed meeting talk. It made a lot of money but it didn’t matter. I broke the rule. He came down to the pit and took back his money and I was done. I have not been fired since.
I learned early. Keep the rules simple, make money together but as soon as rules are broken, it’s over. On either side. Set the expectations and the rules right out of the gate. If things are unclear. Discuss. Communicate. Do this and any partnerships will flourish. If they change the rules without communication. Run
I have run from a few partnerships because I didn’t trust the relationships. Travis and Josh are not one of them. Amazing people. It’s why I’ve worked with them for almost a decade. Smart, hardworking, ethical. The kind of people you hope to find when working together. My Father is the same way. He was always on your team, he just wanted to always be a coach and that gets difficult when you want to also be the coach. The last leg of my career will be with a company that is all the above. It’s a tough find if you want to be more than just an employee who clocks in and out. I will find it. I’m ready to roll and do something great in the domain space.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details. All names were chosen by us, Shane, Travis, and/or Josh . Everything we say is based on our research or is opinion. Do your due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, registrars, and individuals that are auctioning names. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
