Amazing how crypto was handed over to governments and big business this year. What started as a way to take currency out of the hands of the government and put it in the hands of the people has become a market controlled by a few big players and large companies. The public has decided that every cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin is just for gambling.
Ninety-nine percent of platforms exist for trading or speculation. Everyone seems to be using 50x leverage, which causes wild swings and massive liquidations on the smallest price moves.
The tech is buried under the noise. Trump is using it for personal gain under the guise of helping others. Saylor and MicroStrategy hold such a large position that any trouble on their end could tank the price by 70 percent.
Bitcoin will survive and thrive with or without Saylor, but he’s made the path more uncertain. It was always going to become big business, and we’re still early in the cycle. But I hate seeing the U.S. government involved — or any government for that matter. That was the point of crypto: to stay outside their reach.
They can’t print more Bitcoin, but they can still manipulate the market with policy moves and headlines. Saylor, too. He can no longer lift the market — he can only hurt it. His purchases don’t add value beyond reducing supply. That has some value, sure. But I’d much rather see 10,000 people each buy one Bitcoin than one man buying 10,000 more.
I’m always going to be a buyer but I don’t feel as excited as I used to. I can chalk it up to the fast rise and the excitement of being new the first decade but this past year of all the added big players and Trump has made it just another big business asset.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.* All names chosen by us. (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
