I always seem to write about everything except domains, but here’s one more non domain thing. I was setting up a new LLC and a friend recommended WyomingAgents.com.
Wyoming really is becoming the new Delaware for LLCs. It’s essentially $100 to register with the state and about $25 a year for your registered agent. Their total package is $150 since they tack a little onto the $100 state fee. You can file directly with the state and save a few bucks, or just handle it through the agent and keep it simple.
It takes maybe 10 minutes and you’ve got an LLC ready to go. Obviously there’s more to running a company than filing the paperwork, but that’s the start and it was almost too easy.
There are plenty of other services out there, but their form is solid and the response and communication have been good. They’ve clearly done this a few times.
Almost makes me want to move to buy a great domain, move to Wyoming and become an agent.
