I was in on LitigationAttorney.com, but couldn’t bring myself to go that high. I thought it was a killer name and I could see a law firm paying $XX,XXX for a name like that. But I’m new to domaining, so what do I know? Also, what kind of people let these names expire? Do they just have so many domains that they can’t keep track of them all? Of maybe they don’t have them on auto-renew? Or maybe they do, but the credit card info is old, so the renewal doesn’t go through? Or maybe they have no idea of the value of their domain name? Or maybe they passed away? If most of these people unintentionally let quality names like these expire, I feel like there’s a side business here for a “domain detective” who would hunt these people down and save them from losing their domain……for a small finder’s fee of course =).
