The screenshots below are examples of buyers of domains from the last few months that have either developed their sites, or purchased an upgrade domain and have redirected their acquisition to an existing website.
Lab360.com sold for $40,000 at DomainProducts/Sedo. They’re affiliated with Qihoo 360, a Chinese internet company with a market cap over $8 billion. “Lab360 is established to support the smart hardware ecosystem. We believe the internet is more than a flat screen and are excited to support inventors and innovators in shaping tomorrow’s technology.”
NLF.com sold for $33,700 at NameJet, and the owner is under privacy protection. They’re clearly looking to capitalize on the NFL typo traffic, but NLF in this case supposedly stands for “Nations Love Football“. The domain has an Alexa rank near 3.3 million, but I’m sure that improves during American football (NFL) season.
UWK.com sold for $21,600 at Sedo, and the owner is Underwater Kinetics. The domain is an upgrade from UWKinetics.com. “UK is a unique company in that we consistently exceed expectations in all that we do. Our products are equally praised by divers and firemen, utility workers and outdoor enthusiasts.”
Hendel.com sold for $15,000 at Sedo, and the owner is Hendel Hogar S.A. The domain is an upgrade from HendelHogar.com. An online retailer with bricks & mortar shops in Argentina.
HomeRestaurant.com sold for $10,000 at Nidoma.com. “A Home Restaurant is the chance for anyone who likes to cook to turn their home and their kitchen into a restaurant, opening occasionally for friends, acquaintances, and perfect strangers (travellers above all), who will be able to sample the original dishes of the places they go to regularly or during a trip.”
InstaWeb.com sold for $8,824 at Sedo, and the owner is under privacy protection. “We believe that creating a website should be simple and straight forward, with that in mind InstaWeb™ created a system simplifying the design process of your website, allowing you to focus on what matters, your content.”
BetBoy.com sold for $7,800 at Sedo, and the owner is under privacy protection. It appears to be a Chinese language lead gen site for other betting sites.
