We added another daily article here at DSAD and would like to introduce you to Travis. Travis is relatively new to domain investing but his “real world” of managing online site management and investing makes him a perfect fit to understand the business model of domain investing. He’s a numbers guy and has been nice enough to gather data from various auction houses to create spreadsheet of daily averages for short domain sales. It’s work in progress so we’re looking to hear what more you’d like to see. It’s a little more accurate than Chaomi’s data in the fact they seem to be using their latest sales rather than their average sales. Not to mention its in Chinese and in RMB. Let Travis know of your ideas when can include and I’m pretty sure he can make them happen. Here are today’s domains. Click for current
prices.
Hao123456.com Yes this is getting some great bids over at 4.cn. This shows how much we have to learn about the Chinese market
CCMK.com vs CCRP.com I think the RP name will do better. See if you can pick the winner. Both 17 years old
48035.com vs 48054.com Another comparable that would seem to be an easy choice. But I think 54 does better. I just have no data to say why. Just like the flanking 4s
2Z7.com Over under $500 on this one. These have been selling for several years despite not having a ton of end user potential. Nobody really ever said much about it as they quietly sold.
COZU.com Opening bid was $1600 and someone hit it. Pretty much all CVCV are worth that IMO
30580.com Most bids on the board today. Not the highest price but two guys got into a $10 bid increment war.
8888088.com This sounds crazy but can’t believe this 7N.com isn’t higher
8088188.com I’ll just leave one more here as well
315888.com Coming up for auction in a few days since we’re talking triple 8s
Packaging.io Every product in the world has it. I also see a moving boxes play as well. No bidders
KJHH.com Already over $2K. Everyone loves the old fashion field goals ( H) *American joke only
NJQA.com I think all LLLL.coms that don’t have Vs are are a good investment right now
HBBJ.net Can’t have a list without a few LLLL.nets
LCNO.com I was buying these types before the Chinese invasion and I still am. A is still my favorite vowel at the end
298288.com Can never go wrong with 88 at the end of a 6N.com
TRJN.com Kind of getting lost in the shuffle but still a Chinese premium and worth $2K ish right now
755513.com All 6Ns without 4s and zeros are being swallowed up quickly
DCSC.cc Great letters and the .cc is no longer a liability. Its been crushing it lately
DONO.net 16 years old. CVCV.com have started to do very well but you can still get ahead of the CVCV.net market as they are dragging behind. This is one of the better CVCV. Don’t let vowels scare you
JUP.com Going to sell. Reserve is met
Fabrics.net Website for sale. Successful drop ship business. Although not successful enough to keep evidently
FXRL.com Another nice Chinese premium for sale.
ApplePuff.com Met reserve at $1. Worth at least $1 IMO. Makes a cute brand
ZZZZ.biz One of 26. Ends this morning
GJ.biz Another short dot biz. Met reserve and will sell.
.
FOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM
.
Drake.org You never call me on your cell phone. 20 years old
Veech.com Not a bad 5L.com for $69. No bidders
DKX.net I think the streak is broken of LLL.nets that start with Z so you’ll have to settle for this one
ZXL.net Ahhh, I was wrong. Here we go. The streak continues!!!!!!!!
Leopoldo.com Popular Latino name. And somebody already really likes the name. Has a very high bid
ADifferentDrum.com I have been known to march to this beat
Carleen.com I think its a name…Let me type it in Google……. It is
363825.com There are 20 plus 6N.coms at Namejet today. All with no 4s or zeros
Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. (if you have trouble with the contact form its shane@ this domain name) I Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good investments
Thanks for organizing the lists and adding Travis for the short names. Getting more after market sales statistics will make a much better database for short name stats. Many sales go unreported.
Cheers! Have a great holiday!
Regarding the first Domain, Hao123456.com, combining names and numbers seems to be big in Chinese culture. I forward my hundreds of daily email offers from China to a Chinese guy at my work for translation. We noticed this trend months ago viewing the style of the email address from the offers. I have since regged and picked up a bunch of these, ones like Li345.com
