I have to admit. I am completely surprised how effective Facebook advertising has become. To the point that the print and online paper ads in our local paper are obsolete. Using Facebook ads I can now promote a sale or a coupon for half the cost and actually reach more people . And the engagement is off the chart compared to the paper. And if I want more frequency I can still do posts without Boosting them. Even job search has changed. It’s not great for all businesses but its perfect for the kind of employees we are looking for. We had 41 people show up for a job fair we had that was only promoted in our newsletter and on Facebook. All for $100. Our local paper is 2.5 times that and gets next to no response. The local paper is dead as we know it. It pretty much is local prep sports, a few pieces of local news, who got arrested, who got married, who died. And nobody wants to pay for that info.
