THE BIG AFTERMARKET LIST: Sunday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on June 29th, 2014

Escrow.com

After selling another name on Godaddy’s system I am again reminded how much better the platform could be if any amount of effort was applied towards user transparency.  They have the domains, they have the buyers.  They have an efficient and easy way to list a domain for sale.  What’s completely lacking is a system that builds confidence that you have a legit buyer. Flippa and Namejet make buyers choose a name and Flippa even lists past transactions.  Godaddy’s system to handle fraud?   They  kick them out if they don’t pay. At least that what they tell us.  There is no way to know since you can’t follow that buyer.  And for the seller that doesn’t have the transaction complete? No credit.  No free relisting. Nothing.  Sorry, try again.  A billion dollar company, hundreds of millions in auction sales over the decade, an upcoming IPO, and they can’t work out a buyer/seller rating system. It’s just so disappointing.  I’ve said it before, I love Godaddy. They have an excellent domain management company, they have provided me great customer service, their affiliate program is excellent, they just have a major flaw in the auction system.  Some day they’ll MAKE the time to fix it.  There is millions more to be had if they do and I think the stock holders would appreciate it.  Here are today’s names.

Pana.com  So many things this could be used for.  Acronym, a city, and a fantastic CVCV

BayRealEstate.com The Bay area is a big market.  16 years old

InvestorsWanted.com  Pretty much tells you what the site is going to be about

6-7.com  Another N-N.com.   Hadn’t seen any in 8 years and now I’ve seen two at auction in two days

Landscaping.net My name. No where near my reserve but we’ll give it a try. I think it’s one of the better landscaping names available

StrangeTreasures.com   Fun name, not tremendous values but a decent online commerce name

UODO.com  Good letters for under $50.  Probably won’t stay there but was at press time. 13 years old

UAHA.com  Same here

OOPO.com  The best of the group but the price reflects it

ODang.com  “O Dang, o no you did int”

OUUO.com  The most visually pleasing of this group of LLLL.com

FloridaSolarPower.com  No bidders.  Florida is one of the top 5 states for solar power.  And I just made up that information.  Still a good price on this one

WOZO.com Another nice CVCV.com   I like the repeating o.  It’s my favorite of the repeating vowels

Dehumidifier.info    If you live anywhere like I do, then yours is running non stop.  Bidding starts at $25

NEW Sunday!!!! Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day.. 1.99 cent New Registration gofhes21

Namejet and Flippa coming this afternoon/evening.  Have a gaggle of people over at the house and no time to finish

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details. *All names chosen by me, Shane, and the goal of this list is to have all links be paid through commission . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct.

  1. Why would they fix a system that allows bidders to bid without consequence, more money for them, if they wanted it fixed, it would be fixed. Sorry F for them, I paid 5 figures to much bidding against non qualified bidders.
