THE BIG AFTERMARKET LIST: Tuesday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on July 1st, 2014

Jul 01 2014

There seems to be a common theme going in our industry this year.  If you have premium, one and two word dot coms you are making a killing.  If you have longer and lesser quality names it’s been rough.  And it’s going to get rougher.  Undoubtedly the new gTLDs and lack of parking revenue have all but nullified the value of three and four word exact match domains.  I was talking to a friend and said the value of names like screwdriver (no offense to the owner, have taken a plunge.  Unless it’s a major category or product, companies no longer have the desire to own this type of domain.   It’s eternally stuck in the domainer to domainer sales loop.  Short, dictionary words  that are potential brands are the leaders and the names that will lead sales.  It’s my opinion but the weekly sales list back my opinion.   NOW taking names for Friday’s BOOK of 10.  Early Bird Special for MONDAY Only  2 names on the list for $30.  Normally $25 per name. Get you auction or domain for sale in front of 18,000 people.   Here are today’s names.  Baby doctors get paid a lot of money.  So they have money to buy this from you  Awesome name.  Great brand.  15 years old  Under $100 is a good buy IMO   Decent gambling domain.   Only one bidder  10 years old.  Good buy under $150 IMO  Gets a few hundred visitors a month according to GD but do your own due diligence.  Under $50 at this point so not a big gamble either way   Dot infos work well with things people are actually looking for info about.  And although smartphones have hurt the market, people are still buying high end cameras   With weed becoming legal in so many place why not give the gift of high  Solid that can be used for anything that needs to be gone over to check for errors or improve.  Under $200 at press time  Package includes 49 other gambling names.  With online gambling looking to become legal in the US, these names have a good chance to increase in value.  It’s a little longer but there are so many dog owners that take their personal living habits and make their pets follow it as well  At auction with a reserve of $150.  I would think a build out would get your money back quickly

NEW Sunday!!!! Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day.. 1.99 cent New Registration gofhes21  Lots of Bakers in this world and I would imagine many of them would pay a few hundred dollars for this for the email alone  I admit I’ve never heard of mini poker but there are no bidders and everyone seems to want things to move faster.  Maybe it will catch on   I would rather have the singular but still a fantastic dot info   Phones have made all games portable

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details. *All names chosen by me, Shane, and the goal of this list is to have all links be paid through commission . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct.

I feel bad for the guy that owns screwdriversets. Hopefully that is not Garry Chernoff best domain.

I should have mentioned this for the newbie and the casual domainer. Garry Chernoff has been in the industry over 18? yrs. Extremely well respected. And, he was Frank Schilling’s mentor. So, screwdriversets is not his best domain. 🙂

I can concur; unlike most, I try not to sell my names but rather ‘collect’ them. However, lately people are wanting them more than I do so I have gotten a few sales. At 500+ names I am getting on average two request a day from a simple parked inquire here link from GoDaddy.
