Flips
Drove.com sold for 18,500 USD recently at Sedo, vs 12,000 USD on 2008-07-16 at Afternic. Not a great return at 30% after commission over 8 years. New owner is under privacy protection, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the buyer developing this one out.
Lady.io sold for 1,500 USD recently at Flippa, 450 USD on 2016-11-20 at Park.io. Nice quick flip…..about a month hold.
NDWC.com sold for 1,494 USD recently at GoDaddy, vs 110 USD on 2010-12-23 at GoDaddy. Yes, the LLLL.com domains have come down in value from their highs about a year ago, but this is still a heck of a return.
CUZ.net sold for 1,400 USD recently at NameJet, vs 676 USD on 2010-12-03 at NameJet. The .com sold for $22,000 a little over a year ago, putting this .net at 6% of the .com.
Flops
HomeLearning.com sold for 4,575 USD recently at GoDaddy, vs 7,001 USD on 2014-07-17 at NameJet. Loss of over $3k after commission.
JX.de sold for 2,550 USD recently at Flippa, vs 5,547 USD on 2016-11-04 at Sedo. A loss well over 50% after commission in two months. Per NameBio, this is the lowest sales price of a LL.de since 2011.
Adience.com sold for 328 USD recently at GoDaddy, vs 2,000 USD on 2013-04-15 at Afternic. The business must not have panned out….you can see a prior screenshot below. “Matching Mobile Users and Offers“
Note: I didn’t do an exhaustive search of the ownership history of each domain. There are likely cases where there were multiple owners between the sales prices I list.
