Below is another look at a few recent domain flips and flops, with recent data courtesy of DN Journal and historical data from NameBio.
Flips
- UPV.com – Sold recently for $16,200 at NameJet, vs $13,053 at Sedo last year. A thin flip….under $1k profit if I assume 15% commissions. Parked, and owned by an investor in China — Hu Weisheng, per Whois — and they were the buyer listed in last week’s post as the buyer of QEE.com for $20k.
- BetBot.com – Sold recently for $2,990 at Sedo, vs $1,401 in 2008 at Sedo. No site resolves, owned by an individual in Norway.
- FastBase.com – Sold recently for $4,100 at Sedo, vs only $133 in 2012 at Namejet. You can see their site below. “LEADS FOR LESS Sign up now in no time and get new leads anywhere in the world for a dime.“
Affiliated with MasterSeek.com, “Masterseek.com is a global search engine and platform containing information about every company in the world. We search all Internet sources for company data, therefore, the benefit of using Masterseek.com is that you only need to search in one place to find everything you need.”
Flops
- No flops to be found this week……
Note: I didn’t do an exhaustive search of the ownership history of each domain. There are likely cases where there were multiple owners between the sales prices I list.
