Flips
StealthMedia.com sold for 2,500 USD recently at Sedo, vs 760 USD on 2016-01-23 at GoDaddy. Excellent, nearly 3x flip in under two months, although I’m guessing they could have squeezed a little more out of the buyer, which was Stealth Interactive Media. They currently reside at StealthInteractive.ca, and a screenshot is below. “Stealth is an award winning, full service, marketing and creative design agency. Established in 2006, Stealth is quickly becoming a dominant force in Canadian marketing.”
FZV.com sold for 25,726 USD recently at Sedo, vs 15,000 USD on 2015-04-04 at Flippa.
NZE.com sold for 26,000 USD recently at Sedo, vs 12,771 USD on 2012-12-05 at Sedo.
JWM.net sold for 3,300 USD recently at NameJet, vs 450 USD on 2012-02-10 at NameJet.
BID.net sold for 24,999 USD recently at Flippa, vs 8,900 USD on 2014-06-11 at NameJet.
Chloride.com sold for 8,754 USD recently at NameJet, vs 4,100 USD on 2011-08-05 at NameJet.
PHHH.com sold for 5,101 USD recently at GoDaddy, vs 448 USD on 2014-04-02 at GoDaddy.
CHSM.com sold for 2,400 USD recently at NameJet, vs 280 USD on 2013-01-07 at NameJet.
1688.top sold for 4,504 USD recently at West.cn, vs 325 USD on 2014-12-02 at West.cn. Apparently my head has been in the sand…..I checked NameBio for other top sales, assuming that this must have been one of the best recent sales, and boy was I wrong. News.top for $9,485, Fang.top for $9,804, M.top for $93,600, and I could go on.
Flops
UOA.com sold for 28,700 USD recently at NameJet, vs 26,248 USD on 2015-12-16 at Sedo. Looks profitable until you factor in those pesky commissions. A loss of nearly $2,000 after 15% commissions. As the owner of UOE.com, I like the fact that the value before commissions is still moving in the right direction.
uWatch.com sold for 3,250 USD recently at GoDaddy, vs 4,500 USD on 2010-11-10 at Sedo.
VYYY.com sold for 3,000 USD recently at NameJet, vs 2,999 USD on 2015-09-28 at Sedo.
PBSB.com sold for 2,201 USD recently at Sedo, vs 2,500 USD on 2016-01-13 at Flippa. Less than a two month hold, and a loss of over 25%.
SmokeBreak.com sold for 1,762 USD recently at DropCatch, vs 20,000 USD on 2011-01-03 at MostWantedDomains. It really doesn’t make alot of sense to go through the cost of buying a domain from Mike Berkens, only to drop it……
AFW.net sold for 1,349 USD recently at Sedo, vs 1,540 USD on 2007-08-14 at Sedo. AFW.com sold in 2012 for $125k to a Colorado-based furniture shop — American Furniture Warehouse — but that isn’t translating to value for the .net.
Note: I didn’t do an exhaustive search of the ownership history of each domain. There are likely cases where there were multiple owners between the sales prices I list.
