Flips
DreamCasino.com sold recently for 15,735 USD at Sedo, vs 2,445 USD on 2015-01-28 at NameJet. Not too shabby in six months. Picked up by a company affiliated with BetWay.com, which is an online casino and sports book.
Described.com sold recently for 5,000 USD at Flippa, vs 1,400 USD on 2014-10-02 at Sedo. The buyer must have really wanted this one….bidding was at $1,850 when they picked it up at the buy-it-now price.
Keyo.com sold recently for 4,200 USD at NameJet, vs 1,450 USD on 2011-06-16 at Sedo.
557766.com sold recently for 3,200 USD at NameJet, vs 2,100 USD on 2014-07-23 at NameJet.
Greenify.com sold recently for 2,400 USD at NameJet, vs 921 USD on 2008-12-19 at NameJet. There is a ‘greenify’ app that is intended to maximize phone batteries, but the domain was picked up by Purple Domains, of Maryland.
Flops
CraftCorner.com sold recently for 390 USD at NameJet, vs 2,000 USD on 2009-12-02 at Afternic. BuyDomains picked this up, according to Whois, and the domain now has a BIN of $4,088.
Interest.net sold recently for 2,805 USD at Sedo, vs 5,000 USD on 2008-08-05 at DotMarket.
Taste.net sold recently for 1,854 USD at Sedo, vs 4,100 USD on 2011-03-28 at NameJet. Those .net’s are struggling…..
Itineraries.com sold recently for 5,050 USD at NameJet, vs 22,500 USD on 2007-08-28 at Moniker. Picked up by a “MOMSVIEW LLC”, which owns nearly 1,500 domains and runs the community of moms at MomsView.com.
Note: I didn’t do an exhaustive search of the ownership history of each domain. There are likely cases where there were multiple owners between the sales prices I list.
