Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Sunday February 26th

One of the hardest things to explain to new domain investors and even experienced investors that a build out of a domain is a business.  And needs to be treated as such.  Everyone has an idea of what each domain can become but 1/1000th of the people will make that actually happen.  5% may try and find out how difficult and time consuming it is.  You are competing on the web against people that are treating it as a full time job and reinvesting all the money and probably someone else’s money as well.  Many people take the easiest road possible i.e. an affiliate site for a product on amazon.  They let the other business do the work and they try and get a piece.  There certainly has been a lot of money made over the last decade with that exact business model but like anything, when the barriers to entry are minimal, so are the returns.  I find myself not even mentioning websites because when I show them the first thing they say is “Can you show me how to do that? I have a little extra time and would love to earn some extra money”  Not knowing that I put in 1000 hours into it before I made anything.   And even then it didn’t make very much.  Better to stick to buying and selling domains.    Here are today’s names.  Click the links for current price

Quote of the Day:  ” I’m only rich because I know when I’m wrong…I basically have survived by recognizing my mistakes. –George Soros”

Domain of the Day:   Billion dollar industry.  Every female celebrity has one for a reason

Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids    I can see this one going for four figures easily   Speaking of four figures.  This one is already there   Big name but it’s the dot net so it will be relatively cheap   Stuff pretty much covers everything  I don’t know if I like it but people love old business names with age (19 years)and this is one   Oh boy, Clark doesn’t have his name.  Somebody should buy it for him and give it back to him    These type of LLLL.coms with the good letters including a vowel represent the best value right now.  My opinion only.  Make your own decisions.  I have to write that for the weak minded, sorry  Anything buzz is getting good bids as of late   Data names are going for more and more each year.  These aren’t going for cheap but since Chinese and Western buyers like this type its worth more. More wants more price   Because its all about you. Actually its not  Brandable that is hot right now   Deliver perfect every day.

Domains With One or No Bids Has a bid. Not a bad 5L for the right price Upgrade name for quite a few companies 18 year old name. There’s a fashion and garment district in Chicago I thought it sounded like a nice brand. Gets a few hundred visit a month. No bidders No bidders. Not any traffic I think this is probably worth a $12 bid IMO All you can eat domains. No bids 2,000 backlinks and pretty funny name. Sounds like a bar that Sponge Bob would go to Plenty of content here 5L with only one bidder

Other Names With Bids

Namejet Auction    Has the V at the left and A for association so worth more than the bottom value that already has 44 bidders    Public speaking trainer.  Everyone should take public speaking classes  Used to be used for cigarettes, now canna cigarettes are the market. Just a few bidders  No reserve and no vowels or V    No bidders.  Stay at home Mom blog or site   All the best quality affordable ones are. No bids   And the good expensive models are German.     Big CPC.  Info works with quotes    Preppers   Trump already has his bid in  Pretty sure it’s a shell company……..sorry

CollegeApartments.nets   Huge market.  I live on a college campus and get to witness firsthand the 40,000 students moving in and out  Actually a pending delete.  Everyone is looking for strategic partners that can help them go to the next level  Great one word brand.  Goes both ways  I heard ville names are still OK

DropCatch Pending Deletes and Auctions     Here name is Riio and she’s dancing on the sand    Name exudes luxury, but I guess that’s obvious   $89 would be a heck of a price for this one  Solid running and training name

    You’re absolutely right, Shane.
Aff. marketing, drop shipping, etc. are not only so yesterday; they are simply not profitable.
Take it from somebody who spend the last 18 years doing just that, and finally had to give up.

It’s not on my agenda anymore. Domaining is!
