Looks like everyone wins. Especially Godaddy. Godaddy makes tens of millions of dollars from expired domains. They love the free money. What they don’t like is when people renew and they don’t get to keep the money on the sale of an expired domains. Rick Schwartz lost a name mid auction. Godaddy lost the money Rick was going to pay for that domain. Anyone that thinks Godaddy enjoys not getting money from you for an expired domain is not thinking logically. You get upset, they lose money. So they will do everything under the rules to try and snap the name the second they are allowed to and sell it. Now its at 30 days.
Domain owners have less time than ever to remember to renew their domain. Because its not about forgetting to renew, its about making money on the name and domain investors getting their domains. Obviously I’m being sarcastic. It’s supposed to be about renewals but because there is so much more money in selling them AND getting the renewals, that changing the policy to get the most out of expired sales is the business model. Make as much money as they can is the business model. And I’m good with that. Nothing wrong with making money as long as the registrant gets a fair shake at renewing his domain. 30 days is fair.
Next step is open auction. Paul Nicks says GD has no plans for bidder aliases which I think is a big mistake. The coding would be simple. I think the only reason it won’t be done is because we are going to see some bidding we don’t like. I am merely guessing because when its dark you have to guess what’s in front of you. You expect the worse. You only know the truth when somebody turns on the lights. Time to turn on the lights. Here are today’s domains. Click for current price

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. I Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me Shane, or Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
