Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday December 23rd, 2019

I talk about social media handles more than most but I’ll tell you why. A social media handle CAN be a business. It can be more valuable than the domain you operate your business on. If you ever have been on Instagram you can see that it is its own world. Full of advertisers and the biggest accounts with millions of followers. Keywords on instagrams have instant followers and assume its a big player in that category. Much in the same way a domain does. On twitter, three character handles aren’t allowed anymore making the original names valuable.

The other barrier to entry for starting a business is making a website. No need on instagram. You are ready for selling the second you have over 10,000 followers which is a piece of cake with a big keyword name. Yes, instagram can ban you and but Google could ban you too with the same effect. The difference is the cost of acquisition of eyeballs. Its much cheaper to build a brand on Instagram.

Am I saying you should start buying Instagram accounts? No. You officially can’t if you wanted to. All I’m saying is there is more than one way to own real estate on the Internet. The younger generation is more than happy to build their brand on Instagram and its the platform of choice over Snap and Twitter because of ease to build. It’s something we all need to be cognizant of and an opportunity to capture the market below the larger businesses building a brand

Domain of the Day:

Namejet, Sedo, Snap, and other Names Up for Auction A bit difficult to spell but a female name and a few brands already using it I like thimble as a brand. Dot co not as much but I know a lot of people love it sow I put in on the list If you feel comfortable selling them you should feel comfortable building a site on them No bids at $79. I think all 5L that are pronounceable are worth at least $100 I have sold a lizard name or two in my past How ironic this drops on Christmas Eve The kind of 5L I like. Don’t sell a lot but enough to make money Another here. Also a company listed on Crunchbase What most of you could call your domain company Tons of training agencies but all go by their name instead of this, their definition. But one may want it Going to take some build out but a one stop shop for recalls would be amazing We know who should own this……………Bill Sweetman

Godaddy Domains With Bids I think this one does very very well. There’s a lot of data to learn from Agriculture comes to mind here. Which means Canna right now Top number of bids on the Godaddy board. The singular is worth 4-5X this Great letters. N for Network One more x and it would really have value Domain auction and sales name? Doing better than most of the CVCV over the last few months Good name on its own but comes with a ton of juice as a bonus and Two CCC.coms getting a little action Triples at the back the bills start to stack The Vegan energy bar is actually a pretty big market . Of course it could be just three people being really loud so it seems like tens of thousands Godaddy has a $4K valuation. Bidders much less Music editing Virtual study groups. Although its going to be difficult to do the “I really want to make out with you but I’ll ask you over to study” trick

  1. I’ve been thinking about Instagram handles for a while now. I was actually watching some videos about it this morning after a friend of mine sold one for $10,000 last week. Just from doing shoutouts on an active channel you can earn 10k+ per year easily.

I wish I had gotten into them early on as I knew about Instagram well before Facebook ever acquired it. I still made a lot of money off of it, but in hindsight getting the good usernames would have been better for the long run.
