Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Sunday July 22nd , 2018

Jul 22 2018

I officially declare emoji domains dead.  Maybe not dead but living in a small town in Antelope Oregon with other things that just didn’t catch on like flavored cat water and a bunch of Nintendo Virtual Boys.    Sorry Page.  Sorry Alvin.   They had their time in the limelight but that light has faded.  When your future is based on the .ws extension you were doomed from the start.  .WS couldn’t market themselves well enough to win a High School prom court seat let alone make emojis popular.  Add in that kids and adults aren’t using them in search, only in expressing themselves.  Add in that most keyboards don’t have them.  Add in that they look different in every system and nobody can tell what 90 percent of them are.   That’s all I need to add.   All of it equals a novelty and a collectible. Looks like we’re down to only 1000 registered down from a reported 20K.  It’s falling hard and I don’t see a comeback in the near future.  I hope I am proven wrong in time but I haven’t felt this comfortable in a call since I said that Pearl Jam’s first album 10 would eventually be considered one of the best albums of all time.   🙁

Bidding.  I haven’t bid on very many names this week but one I bid on that I am really kicking myself for not getting is .   Not only is it a name I thought I may be able to flip but I am also have plans to form a company that tracks race times for runners and provides interesting information a

nd live analytics during the race.  Absolutely perfect name.  I would have paid $1000 plus for the name but I put in $555 and set my timer to come in and sit down for the end of the auction.  Once again I got a customer at the nursery right as the alarm went off and by the time I got to the desk it was minus 4 minutes on the auction.  And it went for under $600.  I should have just put in my high price and left it.  There was no need for me to be there at the end.  Just being dumb and it cost me a name I really wanted.  I don’t have many of those.  I would say live and learn but I have lived a lot and yet to learn.  Here are today’s names. Click through to see the current price

Quote of the Day:

Domain of the Day:        Learn how to make easy money

Namejet and Sedo Names at Auction   Good name for a crypto wallet or management system. No bids  would be a good buy at $300   You know exactly what info is on this site  Plenty of English speakers looking for homes in Norway to give this some value    No bids on this one.  just kidding

Godaddy Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids  So many uses.  Sounds techy but also could be plain old arts and crafts. 1999 Birthday   I feel like someone is yelling at me just typing it out.  Almost at 4 figures.  A bit too generic for me. But I’m just a nurseryman, what do I know  The Amazon of Canna  Love this one.  Sell a service letting them know their ranking for every product and service   A nice CVCV but also pretty famous Irish singer  A 5L getting a few bids   Monkey and Gorilla names are very popular.  Add in a little weed and you have a great name   Green will always get bids.  Not sure if we’re talking park like parks and rec or park a car.   I’ll let the winner decide   Definitely eventually going to the beer brewing industry  Most bids on the Godaddy board today   GD gives this a $7000 plus value  Online permit application   Let the masses hunt it down   Love this brand. Not sure if it has resale value but would like good in a list of “Name Your Company This”

Godaddy Names With One or NO Bids Its a dot org but people will pay anything for instant relief.  No bidders at $12  Canna names continue to be the theme.  Another nice store name here  No bids.  Workout while high or in the Mile High City  5L with no bids.  Shows 5,000 backlinks but I checked and has none of any quality If I’m a new registry I would love to have this name    People that love sushi REALLY love sushi.  Great name for a restaurant that sells it  Canna fashion brand, magazine, even a store  Manscaping is big business now.  And women no longer have hair on their bodies.  Except in Portland  Sounds like a magazine or Canna portal Another decent with no bids  I’ve seen worse and less memorable names for more than $12  No bids.  A word that essentially means song.   Would make a great brand Fantastic name for a canna investment company  Not a bad marketing name for $12

Thanks for the feature Shane. I also like SushiSpace for a niche directory or something similar that aggregates sushi restaurant data from around the world.
