Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Sunday June 9th, 2019

Escrow.com

“I can’t believe that company X went public without the exact match Dot com”  I hear it all the time and it is ALWAYS from domain investors.  As a business owner and a person that understands marketing and domain names very well, some times it just isn’t the right move.  Take Peloton for instance.  If you think of Peloton you think of one thing. The at home cycle.  Type it in to Google (spelled correctly or incorrectly) and all the results are for the cycle or people buying the term to compete against Peleton.  Do they lose type in traffic?  Consumers may type it in and not find what they are looking for , but I am positive they go to google and find the right thing.  Peleton can save their money, I don’t think they need the exact match.  Should they buy it?  Yes.  But they don’t need it.  And I really don’t think the SAAS company that owns it is really interested in selling anyway.
Peloton is doing incredibly well without the name and buying it, in my opinion, wouldn’t grow them any faster than they are growing now.  Google gives them everything they need and once the consumer owns the bike, all the software is in house and no URL is even used.  It has its own interface.  I realize this goes against domain investors speech to companies but we are not at the initial start up phase.  That is the time to figure out your URL strategy.  Do you change the name so you can get the exact match? Do you built the company up in hopes of raising enough cash to pay the big bucks for the name?  Or do you concentrate on building a good company and let your success and feedback build a google base so that when anyone types your name into Google they will easily be directed.  Peloton went route 3 and it worked.  There is zero to criticize here other than they could have gone with a more memorable alternative dot com with peloton in the name.  Here are today’s names. Make sure to click on the names to see the current price and to help DSAD keep on keeping on

Domain of the Day: CryptoGambler.com  Not sure why all gambling sites don’t use Bitcoin as currency

Quote of the Day:  “A fish with his mouth closed never gets caught

Rental.Property   One of the best dot property you can own

TX6.com   Texas 6 getting some good bids.  Would be double this price if it was on Godaddy

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
