Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Thursday January 31st, 2019

Escrow.com

As I reflect on Namescon I realized that I tend to gravitate towards positivity.  Everyone that have become good friends over the years really have a good positive outlook on life and business.  Regardless of good times or bad times they are happy.  Being around that type of person is just more enjoyable.  I spent the last night with Andrew Rosener and the Media Options Team, Michael Cyger, Mike Salleese, Travis and Josh of DSAD, Kate Buckley and Todd Henderson, and Ammar and Josephine Kubba.  I don’t think I’ve laughed and had as much fun as we did that night in a long time.   From starting a shower cap company at the bar to watching Kate take 11 minutes to roll the dice at craps, my stomach literally hurt from laughing so hard.  I looked at the night as a celebration of a good year for all.  Drew obviously takes the prize for killing it this year, but I think its no coincidence that the group above are some of the most successful people in the industry.  They’re passionate about their job and they have a fun time doing it.  And it comes across.  They are why I come to conferences.  Their success oozes on to me as I wait for Kate to eventually roll.   The best line of the night was when I asked the stick man if Kate’s roll was one of the worst rolls of the evening and said “It was probably number 3”  “But she also had number one and two” .

I can’t remember the last time I went home a winner from Vegas but its been a while.  I really couldn’t lose this week.  My entire trip turned out to be free with a take home bonus of $1100.  Someone said it was because of the work I did in Kenya and it was payback, but I don’t think that’s how it works.  You are certainly paid back for doing good things.  I do believe that.  I just don’t think there is any relationship between money and goodness.  Goodness is in the heart and its payback is a good nights sleep and a shoulder light of worry and anxiety.  Something that money has a hard time buying and even makes worse at time.  I think my winning was pure odds.  I have a certain percentage chance of winning and Vegas and after all the losses the odds were just evening out.  By my measurement they have some more evening out to do after some big hits in the past.

And finally thank you to everyone that had kind things to say at NamesCon and thanks to everyone that comes here daily.  Literally wouldn’t do it without you.   Here are today’s names. Make sure to click on the names to see the current price and to help DSAD continue writing each day.

Quote of the Day: You are not a failure until you start blaming others for your mistakes” – John Wooden

Domain of the Day: EYYE.com    Pirate names are hot right now.  Just kidding, I made that up.  They’re actually flat right now

DrinkClub.com  Great name for so many things.  But obviously a bar or restaurant comes to mind first.

SolarTechnicians.com  Because for every installer is the person that has to fix and manage the panels and converters

Apte.com   The higher price is because of being pronounceable and being an Indian last name

HyperDigital.com   Digital marketing company all the way

Fertilizer.net  Fertilizer.com didn’t do as well as people expected and this is a dot net but it’s still a great own for someone in that industry

TheLights.com   Extremely memorable but I really don’t know what company it would be used for. If its cheap enough it doesn’t matter.  They’ll find you

Fuggs.com   As opposed to this one where I think the two Gs are the perfect way to spell it

CustomFaucets.com   This is a market.  Not a huge one but the owner of this domain would be the market leader quickly

TapStudio.com   Online phone game maker

RoboBabe.com    Sounds a bit dated but I feel like some Japanese company is going to come out with a sex robot and name it this

TheWeekOff.com   I would name my travel site this easily

  1. Thanks for some play by play. Sound like it was a good show. Should get done snow for you to plow tonight lol

  2. That was the single, most-fun night of playing craps in Vegas ever. You, Royelle (sp?), Kate, Todd, Josh, Aaron, and the occasional Jason that would stop by and give me a free .club domain coupon. Definitely made pulling my all-nighter worth it. I paid the price the next day, but would do it again next year with the same crew around the craps table. 💯

    1. It was spelled just like it was pronounced RoyL. That man has a special part in my heart. And if you don’t think I remember special people you may recall I remembered the guy that worked the door at NamesCon 3 years ago when when we were walking through the cosmo
