Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Tuesday August 8th , 2018

Aug 08 2018

Escrow.com

Call it middle age, call it satisfied.   When I came home from Kenya I was a changed person.  In one swift movement I had moved from counting coins to counting experiences.  I get off the path every once in a while but there is always something to nudge me back in.  Yesterday’s nudge back in was my domain friend Andy Booth announcing on Facebook that he had been diagnosed with throat cancer.  My Mother in Law had throat cancer and had a very good recovery and has felt good for many years since. So I know first hand that a “normal” life can follow a throat cancer diagnosis.  But seeing a vivacious, athletic, non smoking, Andy get this diagnosis reminds me that you just don’t know where life is going.

Andy is one, if not the best, domain investor I know.  Garry Chernoff has always been the person I look up to but Andy has the domain lifestyle I yearn to have.  He is always smiling and having a great around the world.  I can’t be around Andy without laughing.  Even the simplest story told with his English accent has me smiling.   He is truly a joy to be around.  I can tell all his friends feel the same way.  All of it financed with domains.  There aren’t many high profile domains that haven’t passed through his hands at one point.   When its all said and done, he may be considered the best domain Flipper EVER.   I don’t expect his cancer diagnosis to slow him down but I imagine its going to cause everyone to miss a step. To sit and ponder what we’re doing on a daily basis.   Fortunately for Andy he is already doing what we all need to do more. Spending time with friends and family, seeing the world, and enjoying a little bit more of life besides grinding it out at work all the time.

I promise to stop writing all the mushy stuff starting tomorrow.  Just a few things that have come up that get my mind in a certain mindset.  I’ll get harder…I promise.   Here are today’s names. Click through to see the current price

Quote of the Day:  I looked at his grave and, with tears in my eyes, I voiced these words: “You were worth it, old friend, and a thousand times over.”  From my favorite book as a kid-Where the Red Fern Grows

Domain of the Day:  CoinFoundation.com                   I think this would be a great buy under $1000

Namejet and Sedo Names at Auction

Breanna.com   First names make great brands and the recent sales in both auctions and end users show it.  Of course, some people just like to own their names

TheWood.com     Met reserve.    Last chance to get the wood

OOQ.com  Haven’t seen many LLL.coms up for sale lately

Chugg.com    Nice brand.  Uniregistry is high bidder

KreditCheck.com   The only way you can get an affordable credit check name. Again Uniregistry at the top

TheLander.com   Met reserve at $69.   Good for ad design

HomeSelections.com  Nice brand with only 2 bidders

PunkWok.com  Absolutely the name of my new Asian restaurant

CBBR.com  Will meeting reserve and sell.

Share.cc  Nice to see a .cc get a nice price

Godaddy Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids

TFactor.com  A lot of different uses and upgrade potential.  T is often used to mean Testosterone

GreysAnatomy.com  A very popular TV show for many years.  And yes, I find myself watching it even though I don’t watch it.  Kind of like I didn’t watch Scandal but somehow saw every episode

ClassicPonyCars.com    I have to admit I didn’t even know what a Pony car is.  Now that I f0und out its a Mustangish sports car I get the name

NaturalHealthShop.com    A bit generic for me but not for some

27263.com    Should cross $2K if recent prices hold

UrbanVape.com    Easily can see this shop in the mall

CannaFestival.com    Sounds like a fun event

BMagazine.com  Can’t see this without thinking the Queen B. Beyonce

GetNews.com    Real or Fake, both available

VRT.net  Virtual Reality something

Godaddy Names With One or NO Bids

ThePromise.org  Great for religious our personal use.  Only one bidder. 1997 birthday

WhiteYellow.com   Not sure its worth anything but its IS two colors for $12

FunnyLane.com No bids.  Sounds like a comedy club

7Seeds.com   Godaddy values this at $4K .  Although I really do like it as a brand

MountainGlasses.com  I actually own a pair.  Actually called mountaineering glasses but this is shorter

ILoveMyTree.com  I’m putting this here in case I need to remember to buy it today

GardeningTalk.com  Don’t buy this one and try and sell it to me.  Or buy it for me.  I have plenty of these.  But thank you

Cryptoga.com Why not.  I’ve seen much worse names sell for much more

ForIncome.com  Because you aren’t going to get Sidehustle.com

ActiveLifestyle.com    Ending later.  Good news for outdoorsy types but going to end up being an older person website

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good

The mushy stuff is OK… It makes us stop and think how grateful we should be to have good health…

    Shane,
Life is so much more than buying/selling domains. I hope you keep being “Shane” and write what ever you feel like.
BTW… Wilson Rawls wrote Where the Red Fern Grows. I must had read it at least 10 times. Have you seen the movie?
    Cheers

      Ken,

I haven’t watched the movie because I’ve read the book so many times. In my head they look and sound a certain way. I don’t want to ruin it by watching the movie and seeing different people 🙂

Yes, you never know when stuff like that is going to happen. Time is precious.

Oh, just checked out timeisprecious.com – it forwards to justwakeuphappy.com…
