Escrow.com

“Based on your recent visit we suggest this”

Visit?  That visit was a video on Jalopnik watching a guy use this pressure jet to spray down his exotic car. I simply watched a 15 minute video on a 3rd party site and it hooks me for all the products mentioned in the video.  Unbelievable.  I have to admit I was so relaxed watching them hand clean the $300,000 car from head to toe I didn’t even think there were things to sell in the video. Especially when they foam it down with the pressure jet foam.  But I wasn’t impressed enough to search for it.  I read everything I needed to know about the process in the comment section of the article itself.   I’m not sure whether to be scared or be super excited on the endless possibilities to make money of people searching on the net.  Internet privacy my ass.  Not only am I not private without using a private browser window, I am made of velcro.  And the advertisers are trading my info like spices in the West Indies.  You want a guy that likes car stuff?  Here you go.  By the way he likes StockX and running stuff.  I don’t really pay attention to ads but I do pay attention to emails from Amazon and other companies or sites I regularly use.  And they are getting scary good at learning what I like.  Even the suggestions of other products make me dig a little deeper.  In short, damn it, it works.  All this tracking stuff has me pegged and I can’t help but take the bait and follow along.   So yes, I am going to order 2 cases of Twinkle Star Foam Cannons and 2 pairs of Retro Jordans from StockX.  But while I am doing it, I’m a little creeped out. Here are today’s names. Click through to see the current price

  1. Currently, GDPR regulates such advertising techniques, and businesses are not allowed to track your behavior and display / send custom ads unless you clearly give your consent to do so.

By running a company based in the EU, this regulation complicates our lives. But from the point of view of a regular user, I welcome GDPR and think it’s a good start to raise awareness about privacy importance.

  2. Haha, that quote reminds of the soccer coach in Sweden that said “the players will get their pay checks radioactively” when he meant retroactively. 🙂

  3. Hello, Shane
I see lots of.biz dropping every day, and sometimes the auction ends with no bid even when it one word donain and I wonder if the .biz extension has a real value or not.

  4. Shane,
    Why is y05.com worth $4K?
Here is your answer… in China the letter Y means to want or to have and 05 is me in China. So y05 means to want or to have me 🙂
    Cheers
