DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Friday, January 23rd, 2015

Jan 23 2015

I was going through all my domains yesterday and realized I took a different approach to this years’ acquisitions.  I put all my eggs in a few baskets rather than buy a lot of $100 and $200 domains.  I spent a little over $50K on names but bought less than 50.  Add in the fact that I bought a dozen or more under $20 names on Godaddy drops.  I also noticed that I inadvertently bought mostly gardening/plant names. I have started building them out because they are very easy for me to create and write compared to other niches.   It’s the right move for me in my opinion, it’s just a little boring. And I’m planning the same strategy this year.   Here are today’s names.

Non Domaining Site of the Day: Fast Company’s 30 Second MBA 21 years old.  One of the older LLLL.coms I’ve seen come across Godaddy  19 years old.  A last name so it’s also the name of a few places as well  It’s a tough one to try and make a profit on but it’s a nice name.   No bidders 15 years old.  O for Organization.  Over under $250  5s are good. Second only to 8s   You guys love DN names, even if it ends in Z  Everyone needs a U weekend.  No bidders, so evidently everyone doesn’t  It’s pronounceable and would make a nice brand on its own but also works as an acronym.   Going to do well  Another nice one  Getting some traffic and nothing wrong with being safe in a car.  Unless you are trying to answer a text and then you gotta do what you gotta do……..just kidding  Getting tired of all these LLLL.coms.  They’re hogging the list but you’d be silly not to buy a few  I’ve had a truck and a car wrapped.  It’s replacing painting.  And it cost a few grand each time.  Should do very well  A  Interesting TLD but actually works for this keyword.  If the new Gs work then why not this one.  Only $100  Nice name with a lot of potential.  I’m thinking crowd sourcing average wages An anti aging website.  Eleven years old and does $600 or so in income each month according to the owner.  If its true it has lots of potential  Up for sale again. Like the seller

A GODADDY COUPON CODE: A 99 Cent Dot Com Registration gt99br31   20 years old and ends with the best letter you can end with I didn’t think people use the word remedy any more but Googled pain remedy and got 48 million results. 17 years old   Didn’t even know this was a used word either. 62 bidders think it is   $11K is my over under  High CPC. Lead gen for people that can help recover lost identities Great name for a domain blog.  No bidders  When you think of yourself as ugly. Pronounced Eye Gly.  And I made that up   An Apple toilet
