DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Monday 10/6

I thought I would try something new and see if anyone wants to play along.  Over the years I have received thousands of emails with questions.  From personal to business related.  I thought it would be informative to start answering these questions here on a regular basis.  The only rules are simple.  The questions and answers are going to be public so keep that in mind.  I will answer all questions unless I am going to get sued, lose money, or trash up the blog (I know, not really possible).  Keep them domain or business related but don’t worry if it’s personal.  I’ll share what I can.  No problem with funny questions either.  So email the questions and I’ll start giving answers.   Here are today’s names  Solid brand.  Cool and in laid back or cool as in cold   Sometimes that’s all someone is looking for in a hotel.  No bidders. 15 years old  Crossed $2000 and moving  I like the look of the domain.   12 years old.  I guess it could be an acronym as well.   They keep trying to deputize me but I refuse. 949 backlinks  Good marketing name for hand made, etsy type products  Great name but much higher bids than I thought  Save a hundred grand by adding an X   Somebody is or will have a product called an energy strip   Great deal under $100 IMO  Love the description in the action.  “three letter domain” and the age .  The name sells itself  As I said above.  I love these types of names. 1. Great idea, Shane. Can you make it easier by providing an Email button which is very visible on your blog pages? Here’s my question. On your blog dated August 15, 2012, you said you started buying domain in 1999 but did not make a profit until 2007. That’s 8 years of patience. What made you stay on for so long? Why didn’t you just give it up?
