DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Monday 29th, 2014

Dec 29 2014

Worked on my websites yesterday and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed building sites. I had been having someone else do it but I realized that the theme I was using was so easy to change and manipulate,  that I didn’t need to pay someone.  They were essentially getting paid to push a few buttons, add a few plugins, and upload a few things.  It took me 4 hours to do something that took a month of emails and conversations trying to get done in the past.  I won’t go into details but it was a terrible experience.  I still have to hire a graphic designer and get some things custom coded every now and then, but between elance and odesk there are thousands of fantastic people out there.  Now the hard part, content.  And one last thing speaking of creating sites. Congrats to Sahar for his great new site that just went live     Here are today’s names.  Evidently the average guy is worth a lot of money. 16 years old  Plenty of content for this one.  Just don’t lead with Kashagoogoo like everyone else  You can get three Hs for one low price. But it may not be a low price People are going to eat this up  Only one bidder on this marijuana name. Already a place named Sticky Buds Pretty sure you’re not going to get a whole hour out of it  Good marketing name for some math tutor or company.  I can see this on some Mathletes shirt.  The kind of name that I think still offers good vale. Short, memorable and it helps that its also a last name   B for BadAss.  Or that two words  More than football, it’s an analogy for life.  You try and score touchdowns.  Sometimes you have to punt and play defense  Been up for auction before.  Liked it then and still like it.  Not sure what the buildout would be but good names find users 20 years old.  Barely any real malls left

A PRE NEW YEARS GODADDY COUPON CODE: A 99 Cent Dot Com Registration GOFDAU10  Solid name for classified or freelance site. 16 years old  People, places, and things.  15 years old   Over under $900  I’ll go with 800 on this one   The crazy thing is that half the people that go bankrupt think this is how you spell it.  I type this out all the time. The hyphen works in this case.  More bidders than I thought there would be  This one should cross $1000 Should finish at the highest price of all the LLN.coms today ….IMO  Good name but I don’t know how good the resale value is.   Would probably be better as a dot org  Not really sure what this means but there are quite a few bidders and I’m jumping on   Build it out and I will come

Sorry about that, looks like most codes aren’t working anymore. I put a new .99 cent dot com registration up. Best I have for renewal is this code to take 20% off. gd41263a

    Hi Shane!

Question. I am curious why you believe that AP3 will cross $1000.

Also, how’s the market for LLN?

    Thank you for your posts!

The market for is as good as ever. The mean seems to be around $750 and I think AP3 is above the mean in my opinion. We’ll see when the final price comes across. I’m never surprised by the final results but feel I have as good of a grasp of short domain prices as anyone. Aaron, my partner here on the blog is also very good at valuation of short dot coms but a little less outspoken 🙂
