DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Thursday , December 4th

Escrow.com

It’s early in the month but I’m already reflecting on how good of a year this year has been.  If you had good names in the portfolio and bought them more than 3 years ago (and sometimes less) there was a lot of money to be made this year.  I didn’t post about them because there was nothing to learn about how it was sold.  They were mostly at auctions or an email with negotiation to the final price. A simple buy, hold, and sell method.  But they were good names as determined by me.  Validated by the sale.  I know several people that made millions this year and you haven’t heard a peep out of them.  When it’s quiet it either very good or very bad and this year it’s been very good.  I hope next year is just as good but it will be tough to match because I’ve moved a lot of my inventory and it’s much tougher to replace.  I also am holding out for bigger prices for many of whats left in the portfolio.  The positive is I am very cash rich waiting for the right deal.  And I am building out my plant sites after 7 years of talking about it.  Hopefully that is something I can share later.   For now, here are today’s names.

SpinFly.com  Not a ton of value but put it on a brand domain site and flip it.  13 years old

EasyGrader.com  I don’t know what I’m going to grade but thankful it will now be easier

98372.com  These 5 numbers are getting pretty good prices over at 4.cn.  And that’s a good thing

98466.com  Not going to do as well because of the 4 but the 66 offsets the bad a little

Survey.cc   No bidders. Good keyword for $12

Prenotare.com   To book or reserve in Italian.

SomeCodes.com   People are looking for some domain codes and this would be a nice domain to post them.  No bidders

Throttles.com  No bids yet.  Great name for the car and motorcycle industry.

SafeForKids.com  18 years old.  Everyone wants safe products.  Let them know which ones are and aren’t.

Whiskey.com   We all know Whisky.com went for $3 million.  Would imagine this is worth at least 10% of that.

Luxembourg.com  Most Americans don’t even know this is a country.  Between Belgium and Germany.  2900 monthly visits. The domain, not the country

Kiev.com Largest city of Ukraine.  2000 monthly visitors to the website.  Sounds like a number that could be greatly increased with a little work.

Originals.com  12 years old.  One word domain that is doing well. Everyone want to be one of a kind.  800 visits a month

JDM.com  Gets 3500 type ins a month.  It’s beginning to look you better get your LLL.coms soon before they all become six figures

Tricks.com  TipsandTricks.com sold for $18,700 so that gives you an idea the value on this one.

MultiVitamins.com  As a retailer you want to sell a product that people use every day.  A multivitamin fits that description.

Gels.com  Plenty of uses but I think the name would be best for sports gels.  Millions sold annualy.com

FR.net  Two letter dot nets don’t come up very often. Haven’t seen one sold for under five figures yet this year

Leah.com With a new Star Wars coming out pretty sure everyone will be thinking Princess with this one.  Still a popular name otherwise

Enlargements.org   Reserve met.  Always surprised how much money is in the “make me bigger” business

Finally a NEW Domain Code of the day. 39% OFF YOUR ORDER gd41124a

Slider.net   I think of the dozen Krystals and White Castles I used to eat when I think sliders. You may be different

CCRH.com  17 years old.  H for Holdings

Toil.com   Short and could become a great brand.  Means work hard and there’s nothing wrong with that

LegalProblems.com   I think a lawyer may want this.  Just a guess

Chalkboard.net  These are the types of dot nets I am buying.  Cheap but good keywords that you can brand .  I prefer names where the dot com to built out and this one is not, so my bid will be adjusted accordingly

InternetCourses.com  Surprised how low the amount of bidders are on this one

Hours.com  Already getting some really nice bids
