We released our first ever newsletter last night. At this point it’s an early preview of this daily list. I’m also putting in a bunch of links of news that relates to business. Some are domain related. Others are just things I found interesting or entertaining. Aaron and I will grow the newsletter as we go. I think it will be worth your time, especially if you are getting an email feed already. It will be earlier, better laid out, and have a bit more info. Make sure to sign up in the right hand corner of this site. And make sure to watch this week’s Domain Sherpa Show. Michael was nice enough to add me to the regular panel so unfortunately you’re going to get to see my ugly mug more often. Here are today’s names.
XBoys.com Doesn’t really mean much to me but plenty of things called the Xboys and there are some bidders. Also 18 years old
CookieRecipes.com This is a $10K plus name and guess the reserve has been set pretty high. Worth watching though
ExitDeal.com What all startups are looking for. They may say that’s not true but deep down we all know it. ExitDeals.com is also up
XOW.com Nice LLL.com up for sale at 4.cn
LogoDraw.com For $12 a solid logo name. No bidders

*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct
Thanks for your great domain tips, Shane. Really enjoy your posts. I have a question that kind of relates to your post, regarding cookierecipes.com. For this auction, I placed a bid that was higher than than anyone else’s bid. As such, the way the auction mechanics work, the final bid price never got to the bid amount that I entered. It just stayed right above any other bidder’s amount. Normally this is fine, but in the case where the reserve wasn’t met, it was a bit disappointing, since the bid that I entered may have been above the reserve and apparently there was no one else willing (crazy enough?) to go that high. I would think in cases where the reserve hasn’t been met, the current bid should simply be the highest bid. Anyway, sorry for rambling. Any insight would be appreciated and may help others as well. Thanks!
CN,
It’s a flaw in Godady’s system. If it makes you feel any better, you needed to be above $10K to make reserve IMO. He already passed on $5K
