DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Saturday 8/23

Aug 23 2014

As I grow as a business person and as a business, I have put myself into the fortunate position to be able to take advantage (and foresee) a ton of opportunity to make money.  Some of the ideas have come about because of an increased economy and timing, some because of increased understanding of a few more businesses.    The common denominator is it takes money.  Some times it’s securing product. Others it’s equipment.  Seeing the opportunity is half the battle but without cash it’s not much use.  Yes you can take on investment but really all you want is money, not more people involved.  Sharing the kitty makes others wealthy and you less wealthy.  I’m at that point this fall.  I have some money, it’s just my business and opportunities are now in the millions and my time is almost topped out.  I’m giddy with the possibilities and scared to death as I move towards fulfilling them.  Not to mention a little tired.  I enjoy rewarding those that are coming along for the ride and helping me reach my goals, but it also gets frustrating because they are always the first to be rewarded (as they should)  as the big money that comes is always in a much longer time period.  I am only writing this now because of upcoming talks next week with city planners, banks, and possible clients, and it’s been a little while since I’ve been nervous.  A little nervous because I’m excited and a little because of all the work and effort that is going to be needed.  I often wonder if I have more to give or if I want more.  More money, more responsibilities, more long hours. Of course, I’ll share as I go along.   Here are today’s names.   Californians love natural detox.  Liquid diets, enemas, all kind of good stuff.  16 years old.  At $71 at press time which is less than you can charge for one detox   Make this a Christmas gift for a loved one.  Then you can say you gave one.  15 years old   No bidders.  I like the name and think it would make a good brand and easily flippable for under $30  Good acronym and all the bidders agree  The new web is all about karma.   11 years old  You could use this to show people where to shop   It’s always nice to feel like a VIP.  It’s even better to own a with VIP in it.  28 other people think so too   Solid dot co   I probably should buy this one. Pretty close to Cultra.  Was going to name my company Ultra Company went with Rocket Donkey  Starting to notice a shitton of dot co dropping today  I have no idea if have any value. I know they have some because this one has bids  OK one more.  If you like dot co.  This is your day.  If you don’t, it proves a lot  The bidding on all should start at $500.  Nothing is worth less IMO

NEW Thursday!!!! Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day. 25% off new items added to cart. Great for new gTLDs bb2017a  Pretty sure most are bidding this as a typo of Red Bull although it is a pretty decent brand  Short ,two word domain.  A good path to success  A popular name in our area.  I personally know 20 or 30 Jessos  The future of cars.  Hydrogen smytrogen  Not sure why this is getting so many bids.  I’m watching just to see what a is worth   Spanish for butt.   I’m not a posas man but I appreciate the work it takes to have a nice one

BONUS PICKS from the World Domain Day Auction using SnapNames    I like these three because the reserves are all $5K to $10K so they should sell.  Even with the J

(none of these names are mine nor do I know the owners, at least I don’t think I do)
