DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Saturday, March 14th, 2015

Escrow.com

Sometimes I use the saying “I’m going to stick around like burnt popcorn” and most people have no idea what I’m talking about.  Wednesday a lot of people figured it out.  All our employees have started coming back to work and they haven’t quite figured out their break schedule so they all convene on the break room/kitchen at the same time.  There are probably three times the amount of people as their are chairs.  Normally the stove and the microwave are plenty for the amount of people but since all the crews that travel out are still in,  there’s a line.  One nice young girl decided that she would take a much earlier lunch to avoid the crowd.  She put some microwave popcorn in for a few minutes.   It didn’t pop.  So came back and added some time and went to the bathroom.  Her time?  5 minutes.  Eventually we all smelled that burnt popcorn smell, went in the kitchen and the microwave is smoking.  All I could think was “Who microwaves popcorn for 5 minutes?”  And that smell is STILL all over the nursery. Two days later you can walk into the building and smell it.  Now they know why I say I’m not going anywhere.  Like burnt popcorn smell.   Here are today’s names

ProElite.com   Not are they elite but it sounds like they also get paid for it. Must be pretty good. 18 years old

NameValues.com  Great name for a domain valuation site.  One bidder agrees

NYYN.com New York Yarn Network.   The perfect mirror domain.  Should cross $500 IMO.  Has $250 to run

SparkDust.com  No bidders. Not huge value but sounds like a hot new startup and is two short words. Cuban is making dust names popular

Datie.com  Most bids on the board.  Not sure if its for the first and last name or a cute little version of Date.   Getting lots of actions

36993.com  Flanked by threes and no fours inside.  $500 plus in today’s market.  Tomorrow’s may be higher

63505.com  I actually like this one more.  I like to end in 8s and 5s.    That’s why my nickname is  Tater Five (8 or 5)

Womanous.com  If you believe Godaddy this gets 32,000 monthly visits.

SomethingHappy.com   Much better than something sad. Sounds like a song or a book name.

QORF.com   $27 at press time.  I actually like it and would consider it pronounceable but then again I think pronounceable is a word so don’t trust me

QUHM.com  The same Q+VCC pattern as above, but this one really struggles to be pronounceable.

GoodCenter.com  It’s where you work until you get the skills to move up to the Great Center

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now

YUON.com  11 years old.  Under $100 and ends today

WeedMasters.com  No bidders.  Sounds like a new reality TV show about two guys that grow pot for a living but face challenges from the outside world but also battle their personal relationships within the family

Intranet.io    The backbone of most companies.  Many people actually don’t know what an intranet is but the people that would buy IO domains do

BecomeFit.com    I like this one a lot but then again I like being fit. Most people like being fat

RavioliCutter.com   Two word product .com’s used to have value.

HairPros.com   An upgrade domain for hundreds of beauty salons.

A GODADDY COUPON CODE: 99 Cent Tranfer. te99comp

NWCM.com   North West Charcoal Managers  18 years old

ThePeek.com  No bidders.  I would take a peek

Yarda.com  I thought I was going to get this one cheap.  42 other people thought the same thing

PZM.com   The Z is not a problem anymore

VOJ.com   Another nice LLL.com  I have no idea what its going to sell for. I just don’t know anymore. But I know I want to own all of them

FeaturedAuctions.com   Sounds like a good name for this list

5VY.com  The NLL.coms have really been doing well lately

Kyte.com  Getting a lot of bids.  Cool way to spell Kite i.e. good tech name

  1. Shane: Just wondering if anyone has heard from Mark Hershiser? He hasn’t posted at his blog for almost two months… worried…

      1. That is really good to hear to hear, Shane. It’s Mark’s business as to why he hasn’t posted – I wasn’t being nosy – just concerned he was doing well. Thanks for the update!
