DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Saturday 11/8/14

Escrow.com

As the season in North America turns to cold I am reminded how completely unhealthy it is to sit behind a computer all day.  It’s not just physical but mental.  Not only do you sit around so much that you think going out for a 5 mile jog actually is enough exercise.  You start to think that writing and emailing is real conversation.  That the computer becomes the only social interaction you have for the day.   The body and mind needs real movement and conversation.  The look and reactions of a person to person conversation, the outdoor air in your lungs.  The same as a stay at home mother needs to talk to adults more often.  We all have seen it.  Mothers that are at home so much they start to talking to everyone like children.  I have no doubt I think and feel better from moving and breathing fresh air all day. I need the sun and the live social interaction.  I know there are others out there that suffer from the same problems.  I can read it in their posts.  It’s always good to step away from the computer for a few days and get some fresh air.    Here are today’s names

AtticFind.com  Everyone dreams of the big barn or attic find.  I’m more of basement kind of guy

LAContractors.com   Los Angelos or Lousiana .  No bidders

BlindCow.com  No bidders.  Awesome brand.  I already love Spotted Cow beer so I know I like the genre

CancerRelief.net   It’s a dot net but tens of millions face cancer and are always looking for help and guidance. No bidders

Bocob.com  People, places, and things.  The most bids on the GD board today

6010.net  The best NNNN.net on Godaddy in the last month

AdvancedMedicine.com  A steal below $100 IMO

OOJU.com  I can see someone trying to make this pronounceable.  “It’s pronounced Orange Juice” Under $50 at press time

BuckingMule.com  Sounds like an IPA so I’m a buyer

SmileTech.com   A smile is the most important asset you can have.  Most people judge you immediately on your teeth and smile.  Sound like a dentist don’t I?

Olympics.me   The biggest event in the world.  You have a few years to get it built out

YellowStones.com   Color and noun dot com always have value.  I think it’s worth more than the $20 bid

Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day. $10 off PURCHASES OF $50 OR MORE ACOSKS65

LegalSoft.com   Sounds like a name from the 80s.  But that’s not a bad thing in this case. 18 years old

MediCorp.com  Same thing here.  17 years old

LivingCheaper.com  Probably worth the $69 but needs a buildout.  People love life hack and money saving sites

NiceCock.com  Nothing more beautiful than a handsome fowl

HFTO.com  O for Oatmeal.  11 years old

Gaka.com  Way under value right now IMO.  Of course it hasn’t me reserve

BestVines.com   Opening bid is probably right at value.  Not sure of TM thing since you’re playing of Twitter’s Vine

FailVideos.com  Fail is kinda of done but the price is cheap

  1. If anyone fancies meeting geeks in marketing, wordpress en other web related groups there’s meetup.com which has groups in many cities around the globe.

  2. Really quick question on Brandbucket and your lander for a name like TheTrunk.com
Do they pay you when you send in a lead to your domain and the person doesn’t buy your name but buys someone else’s name that’s on YOUR landing page ?

I’d prefer to see my name in the top of the fold , not Brandbuckets and their search. . .. talk about taking a customer/lead and keeping it for yourself. . . . ugh.
