DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Thursday, July 2nd, 2015

Jul 02 2015  Nobody seems to have mentioned it but it is at auction at Namejet.  Yes a two letter dot com that is perfect for the Chinese market has sparked merely a whisper.  There are less than 4 days left and it hadn’t even reached 100 bidders at press time.  I realize that 95%, heck 99% of the people in the industry can’t afford or want to spend this amount of money it will take to buy this name, but I figured there would be at least 300 watchers to see what it went for.  Maybe they are all waiting.  I know I’m looking forward to seeing if it sells.  I don’t put too much weight into the final price if it doesn’t sell, as I think this name is too good to be auctioned.  Not that the auction houses aren’t capable or deserve quality of this kind, its merely that I would imagine that any price reached at an auction house would have already been offered privately.  But I have no idea.  I have never had a name even close to that good.  Speaking of good, not very many names on the list today.  Maybe the weakest in a few months.  But I take what I’m given and below is what I was given. Here are today’s names   19 years old.  Nice brand on its own but also a form of the verb Exposar in Spanish (to expose)  Gotta take it some times.  $350 at press time  No bidders.  Pretty good prediction website name for $12  There ARE two, thus the plural  Solid for under $500 IMO  Chinese letters, English pricing  Under $400 which is the bottom right now for the better non vowel, no V, LLLL.coms  This is where I realize I have no clue what I’m doing.  This one is under $100 at press time  Never seen a sell before. sold for $21.6K .  This one has met reserve and is $21K cheaper They are expensive and purchased by people with a lot of disposable income.   Love it. As memorable as it gets.  Thanks to the lovely Britney Spears

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now  18 years old.  I think any that ends in New York is worth buying  Your reputation is the most important thing you have.  That and cash in the bank.  Unless you’re Greek and then it isn’t worth much Rhymes and that’s a good thing. Everyone likes things that rhyme  Only 9 bidders.  This one could be a steal   Good Night Charlie Brown.  More bidders than I though it would have

How does end up for sale at namejet?
Was it dropped or did someone who owns it put it up for sale there?
The owner still has it listed at afternic for $4,995,000.00
