Every hour I am home I think of NamesCon. But only because my damn leg hurts so bad from the soccer game and every step is painful. I have started to make a documentary of my comeback. And I’m not kidding. I already had a hurt elbow that may require surgery ( I will never pitch in the majors again) and my shoulder may be the worst of it all. Throw in the left leg and I have absolutely no use of the left side of my body. I am wrecked. I will be an inspiration to all 46 year old men that want to come back from non career ending, old age, shouldn’t have done that, types of injuries. I would love to put on a bunch of weight like Mack from Its Always Sunny to make a bigger impact but I really don’t feel like buying a whole new wardrobe so I am going to have to start dieting like I’m trying out for Dallas Buyers Club.
I go to my orthopedic magician Monday. He and I are climbing Mt. Rainier in June. He kindly let me know he has no interest pulling me up the mountain like that old guy and his son that do those marathons and Ironman. My friend is the team doctor for Illinois football and basketball so he knows how to get people back in the game. Rehab, weights, swimming, biking, and hopefully eventually running, and I WILL be back. I am going to work on my explosiveness and going to get back on the soccer field and start training. But first I need to be able to walk or at least get the almond milk out of the fridge, without passing out from pain. Baby steps, baby steps. Here are today’s names. Click for current prices. Buy some please
