Funny story but a good one. My wife had to roll over a big part of her IRA and put it in the stock market. That was three months ago. We looked yesterday to see how much money we/she had lost since she rolled it over. The only problem was she forgot to move it from the money market into mutual funds. It essentially saved her 15-20% which was quite a bit of money AND she is now buying things pretty cheap so she/we may get to ride it back up. A very fortunate break. Some times it pays to be luckier than smart. On a side note, I am officially retired from running for 8 weeks. A hamstring tear, not off the bone, but bad. I started rehab but I am going to take it slow. The hardest part is adjusting from a diet of running 7 miles a day to doing nothing. Unfortunately I already was in rehab for a shoulder and elbow injury so I can’t lift or swim for 4 more weeks. Looks like I’ll be eating grass and water for my meals and candy wrappers for my dessert. Going to be a long, miserable 8 weeks. At least I get to sleep in now. Here are today’s names. Good luck with the hamstring, ripped mine a few years back playing football, left a big bruise all down the back of my leg. Time for admin maybe 🙂
