I’m in the final four of my fantasy football league here in town. It’s made up of a group of business people in town. Bankers, builders, professors. Smart people. Some know their players. Others work hard on the pickups to build a team. But what I like most about the league is everyone tries. Even the people that have a bad team work all year to build a good through trades and pickups. Trying to pick up new players is next to impossible. I can tell I am in a league of hard working people. Fortunately for me luck is the most important part of the league. My team is 10-3 and is a middle of the road team. My running backs stink, my quarterback is all over the board (Eli Manning) but I have the best receiving core in the league an they keep my team winning. That and the fact the teams I play keep having bad weeks. That seems to be my strategy to winning. Hope they have a bad week and mine isn’t quite as bad. Its working so far. I am already guaranteed my entry fee back for winning my division. If I win this coming week I get $600 more and if I win the championship I tack on another $1200.
