My Picks For The TRAFFIC 2012 Awards

As you’ve read a few times today, the T.R.A.F.F.I.C  Awards Nominations close today and I would like to say that it is an honor just to be nominated.  There are so many great people and sites in this industry that it gets hard to pick.  The other problems is the size. There aren’t very many people and we’ve run out of people to nominate.  I’m still going to give it my best shot so here it goes.

Please send nominations to [email protected]

The AWARDS are:

BEST NEW MONETIZING SOLUTION (the NEW company with best monetizing results)

I nominate: Internet Traffic  (I realize its not exactly new but new is relative)

BEST OVERALL DOMAIN SOLUTION (this includes Revenues, Sales, Development, etc.)

I nominate: Sedo (hard to argue that despite its flaws its not the best)

THE “WE GET IT” AWARD ( this goes to the brick and mortar company that understands the value of a good domain)

I nominate:  TABcom formerly PetsUnlited LLC (just look at the names they operate)

DEVELOPER OF THE YEAR (self-explanatory)

I nominate: PASS   I don’t know much about this category.

DOMAIN BROKER OF THE YEAR (the person or company that is the most successful in brokering the sale of domains)

I nominate: Mike Robertson / Domain Guardians

BEST DOMAIN BLOG (the one that you can’t miss)

I nominate: The Domains   ( If you give an award for effort then DomainGang.  If you just want to be nice nominate ME)

SPONSOR OF THE YEAR (the company that really gives the best customer service)

I nominate: Escrow.com  (Nothing but professional and Brandon Abbey really supports the industry that supports him)

DOMAINER OF THE YEAR ( the person who stands above the rest in the domaining industry) Past Winners Include: Richard Lau, Rick Schwartz, Frank Schilling (2005 & 2011), Kevin Ham, Rick Latona, Mike Berkens, Gregg McNair.

I nominate: Mike Mann  (If you can’t figure out why he deserves it just ask him)

DOMAIN HALL OF FAME (two people are inducted each year, but only nominate one)

The following have already been inducted to the DOMAIN HALL OF FAME:
SCOTT DAY, MONTE CAHN, RON JACKSON, MIKE BERKENS, RICK LATONA, RICK SCHWARTZ, DAVID CASTILLO, MICHAEL CASTILLO, FRANK SCHILLING, YUN YE, CHRISTOPER HARTNETT, SAHAR SARID, HOWARD NEU, ADAM DICKER

I nominate: Mike Mann again

Thanks for Participating!

And thanks again to everyone that did nominate me for the blog section this year.  It is much appreciated. I am not even close to being the best blog out there but I do enjoy sharing my thoughts and glad to see that a few of you enjoy stopping by. That’s good enough for me.

  1. Mike Mann is the red headed stepchild. Good or bad, I agree he deserves some recognition.
