SHANE’S BIG LIST: Monday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on January 27th, 2014

Escrow.com

Someone asked me yesterday day what I thought the key to starting a new blog was. When used to write my old blog I would make sure to write a post about every headline in the news and try and relate it to my website. It was all about numbers, traffic. I would bold keywords and try and target titles for Google instead of me.  I was so worried about traffic that I put up all this garbage that had nothing to do with my site. I tried to make it relate but it was forced.  I felt like I had to post several times a day to keep up the traffic.   And then I realized.  99 percent of those people that accidentally came from Google could care less about my site and had no interest.  There were much better ways to build traffic (for a whole other post) But in general,  if I did a good job writing they would eventually come and advertisers would know that my readers were 100% who they were trying to attract.  I have exactly half of the readers as I had two years ago after Google took me off the ranking for a bunch of keywords. But the keywords they nixed were completely unrelated to domains and ruined the bounce rate, the click through rate…..all the numbers. Now I make twice as much through affiliate as I did and I have even more great advertisers.  Because I am doing what I love and writing how and what I want.  I don’t cater to Google, pretend like I’m a team of writers,  and am not going to change what I’m doing to please them.  They’ll find me if they want to find me.  I am in a different place than some blog writers as I don’t have to make a living at this.  I don’t HAVE to have traffic.  Sure I want good traffic but if 100 people came and the money I make warrants the time I put in,  then this blog continues. Sorry for going on a rant but they also asked me why I didn’t write more this year and I said “Because I didn’t feel I had anything important to say”  His response.  “That hasn’t stopped anyone else on the Internet”.    PS:  The state of Illinois has been canceled today due to extreme temperatures…….Book of 10…..I’ve got 5 spots left (bold not used for Google but to attract attention).  Here are the names for today

CFun.com  LLLL.com and with the word FUN in it. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Aztar.com  Getting lots of bids but all I can find about the word is it was a Casino in Evansville IN.

WinningStocks.com Because nobody really likes to pay for losing stocks.  17 years old

SpikeFly.com  Good brand for the price IMO. Short and fly domains still sell pretty well

HedgeFunds.org   Perfect name for a watchdog group.  I’m scared of hedge funds.  Hedge funds have money and money equals power.

AskTheWolf.com   Price is presently under the cost of a new reg.  Movie, book title.  Some minecraft related results.  Memorable

WFAZ.com   No bids and no reserve on this LLLL.com

YVFA.com  Same here.  No bidders, no reserve.  End in A which you know I like

CrabAppleWine.com  If you’ve never had crab apple wine you’ve really missed out……..on nothing special.  But it’s a real thing and a decent brand for $12.  No bidders.  15 years old

JF4.com   These shorties are really starting to heat up

Zheo.com  A last name, not real popular but there are a few thousand of them out there

FreeProblems.com   No value but love the name.   The one thing in life that should be free

ShakeOff.com  I was in a club and pretty sure they were having this contest. 11 years off .  One bidder

Worthless Random Fact: Stewardesses’ is the longest word that is typed with only the left hand

6oo.com  Six Oh Oh and now the comps  9ZZ.com for $2,122, 5NN.com for $2,200,5XX.com for $2,712, 5YY.com for $3,121, 5TT.com for $3,521, and QQ3.com for $4,211.

MiamiBeaches.com   I figure the Florida domainers would want this one

WeaponsExperts.com  I had no idea how big the weapons and military show was until SHOTS convention was near us in Vegas.  They had 13,000 attendees.  There were armor and weapons experts galore

InstantHotWater.com  The new tankless water heater companies should want to have this for their marketing.

6495.com  NNNN.com keep rolling along

CCorporation.com   Ask LegalZoom if there’s money in online C corporation filing

  1. MiamiBeaches sound great right now… Not supposed to be this cold in the South…

Couldn’t agree more on writing for your audience rather than Google. I wouldn’t come here if it was all over the place… I will say I miss some of the old model references though.
