SHANE’S BIG LIST: Thursday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on March 20th, 2014

Escrow.com

Oops.  Forgot to hit publish last night. I guess my little ditty about not selling a name changed my “karma”.  Sold two names yesterday. One for no profit but a friend really wanted it and I was thinning my exposure to that type of name. And the other was for $2K on a name I got for $25.  Not the big numbers I’d like but keeps the diet Coke running freely at the Cultra household for a few more weeks. On a side note, I came up with another fun idea for the Mens bathroom at the nursery (if you remember we did a penny floor for the girls bathroom).  I wanted the bathrooms to be easy to clean first but then be memorable and fun.  So I can up with the “Throne of Games”.  I brought all my board games in and my talented brother laid it out and schillacked (sp?) it.   Here are today’s names.

UpLot.com  Not tons of value but 1999 domain, short, and memorable.  Also a name but pretty sure the 4 guys with the name aren’t really looking to buy right now

Dinners.net  No bidders.  Was going to keep it for myself but I just quit using a sniper and don’t have time tomorrow to bid.

Nimet.com  18 years old. Could be an acronym but real value to me is being a name.

FashionBuffet.com  10 years old.  No bidders.  Not a bad pickup for $10 IMO

PotBank.com  It’s where you keep your potcoins.   Or just your weed

CompressionSock.com  I’d much rather have the plural. I would say that half of all marathoners have started wearing these.  5 years ago almost none did.

NUIO.com  10 years old.  Great letters and not as expensive as I thought.

LoveMeet.com  Much better dating name than Farmers Only.

Manipulated.net  Surprised there is only one bidder

Vugg.com  Was hoping this one would stay under $100 but looks like I missed out

WWCE.com  Radio, TV, acronym.  Take your pick

VDPM.com  I like the letter but wan’t to avoid getting the first two.  Under $50 at press time

Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day.. $.99 Dot Com Registration or Transfer (plus ICANN fees) gofdd007

Aerators.com  Not sure if everyone knows what aerators are used for but we use them for ponds in our business.  Keeps the fish breathing and the algae at bay

KJF.com  Can’t go wrong with any LLL.com

eDebate.com  Impossible on the net.  Two comments deep and it turns to name calling.  Still a nice name. 16 years old

BreastEnlargement.net  Even with the dot net it’s a DD name

OverSlept.com  Getting a ton of bids. Only did it once in 15 years.  Worst feeling ever.

WeatherVideos.com  Porn for meteorologist

SwissBankRates.com  No bidders. Because you have to know what kind of return you’re going to get on your tax evasion.  Lots of ads for these keywords

DailyPlans.com  12 years old.  A few bidders.  I think of training plans but I’m a one trick pony

Voyi.com  CVCV that’s a 7 out of 10 for me

Kisses.org  I’ll be part of any organization that gives out kisses.  16 people agree

Have a name at auction and need more exposure.  Send me an email. I may be able to help.

*All names chosen by me, Shane, and the goal of this list is to have all links be paid through commission (click through and purchase a name you like) or paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct.

    1. Teri,

I absolutely know the dangers of aspartame. Remember I’m a health nut. I do everything in moderation but running, biking, and swimming. I figure the 2 diet cokes a day will hopefully be offset by the 4 liters of water and 10 miles of running each day. If not, I can live with it. I don’t drink, smoke, or eat packaged foods (most of the time). I’m going to die eventually and bust my butt staying in shape so if I die from Aspartame I can live with it 🙂 I heard the same thing about caffeine and now I find out that in moderation its good for you. I’ll keep doing what I’m doing. It’s worked for 45 years and I’ve been at the head of the pack the whole time.

  1. With a negative interest rate in Switzerland it´s no wonder why there aren´t bidders for Swissbankrates.com. A negative interest rate means that in order to deposit money you have to pay interests for it instead of receiving them; the return is therefore negative, making you actually lose 0,02% in the case of Switzerland…
    I don´t see a business here 😉

  2. “eDebate.com Impossible on the net. Two comments deep and it turns to name calling.”…………..Any chance that you and I can have a civil “eDebate” without the name calling? Life is full of debates and by attacking character and not the issues life’s problems remain unsolved….My compassion is deep and extends to you…

    1. Aaron,

This is the last time I talk about it. I did a post on Gary Epperson’s bad luck and you thought the article was about you and that we were attacking you. It was not and it was obvious. It’s hard to debate someone that takes everything personal. You come to my site every day and post in the comment section. There is no reason we can’t talk this out and continue our friendship but you have to realize I am not attacking you every time something less than praise is said about you.
