SHANE’S BIG LIST: Wednesday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on February 19th, 2014

Escrow.com

There were some interesting comments about dot nets in the comment section of DomainPicks last night.  One person says they are being dropped like the plague and Owen Frager says Frank Schilling is buying them up.  I have thought about dot nets much more than the new tlds.  I agree that the prices have plummeted but does this plummet offer an opportunity?  I am not quite sure.  I am hedging my bets by buying huge keywords in my niche that if all goes to hell I can build out.  Like landscaping.net.   So if it rebounds then I will make a good amount of money and if it doesn’t I’ll build it out and make a good deal of money.  I like the ending either way.  Here are today’s names.  I have 5 spots left for Friday’s Book of 10.  Contact me if interested.  Special for 2 or more names

Chicken.info Everyone owns a chicken and I want to own domains….just kidding.  Chicken  is one of the most known foods and animals in the world.  $11,000 value according to Valuate.com

IslandofLanai.com  18 years old. Actually owned by Larry Ellison, founder of Oracle.  One of the more beautiful islands in the world.  A must visit if you’re going to Hawaii.  Since you can’t afford the island (everyone but Frank Schilling that is) you can at least own the name.

UTH.com  All good letters.  Surprisingly low price right now but I expect that to change

Yearlings.com  15 years old.  Horse people will know the name.  Good childrens name

LegallyMarried.com  Fantastic gay marriage name.  Just a matter of time before it’s legal in all states except the south.  It takes a little while longer down there.  In Alabama, they won’t vote for it unless they think it will help the Alabama football team

CloudSplitter.com  I don’t know what a cloud splitter would do but if it’s harder than partitioning my hard drive I’m going to have to let someone else do it. I still haven’t figured out why people had to do that

CleanMyHome.com  Decent maid name.  Sounds more like an order than a proposal

WeSuck.com  Probably a much more honest domain name for many companies

FlightBoard.com  I feel like I could get a pretty good deal on a flight here. Or at least tips on how to get one

YTFI.com  Worth more than $25 IMO

7XF.com   These do well, even with XF

Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day.. $2.95 New Reg. 295coder

Gloves.info  Everyone has a pair of gloves.  Maybe not for the cold because some of you are lucky to live in warm climates.  But if you bike, work, or dance like Michael Jackson you probably own a pair.  I want to own domains of a product that everyone owns

QuickFlow.com  16 years old.   As I get older I am realizing the value of steady flow

Thrombosis.com  aka blood clot

Whippy.com  Sounds like a cute little app.  Not very many bidders so it shouldn’t be too bad unless some domainer nicknamed Whippy gets involved

SiteCoin.com  And to think, a year ago this name would have had little value

HAVE A NAME AT AUCTION OR FOR SALE? Let me help you get more bidders and more views to your domain. If you have a domain at auction email me as I may be able to help you get more people to take at look at your sale. . contact me for price and availability.

*All names chosen by me, Shane, and the goal of this list is to have all links be paid through commission (click through and purchase a name you like) or paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct.

  1. I’m with you, Shane. I’m busy looking at the existing gTLDs. In a few years, will there be any difference between the ‘new’ gTLDs and ‘old’ gTLDs?
