SHANE’S BIG LIST: Wednesday’s Domains at Auction or Dropping on March 26th, 2014

Escrow.com

I’ve continued to buy domains that I consider a good value.  Sometimes they are domains that I can build a business on.  Other times they are a quick flip. And then there are domains I will hold.  I mentioned I bought FreshCutFlowers ( in the com of course) and immediately called Bill McClure to work on a flower store.  Then I bought PrairiePlants and inked a deal with Pizzo Nurseries to supply and direct ship native plants.  And then there was yesterday’s XTelevision which I bought for next to nothing but I feel will be of good value down the road when Apple changes television as we know it.  That and the fact I thought it looked cool.    I’ve actually gotten my portfolio up to 400 names, 100 more than I’d like it to be, so maybe its time to start thinning again.  It’s just getting harder to thin as I feel I’ve made some pretty good buys and so far everything I’ve thinned over the years is worth twice as much as I sold it for. The entire portfolio is dot com except a few here and there so it’s not like I’m sitting on a bunch of dot nets and dot orgs like many a domain investor.   Maybe I’ll set my new portfolio limit at 400.  Here are today’s names. A special this week. The first 2 people to list a name in the Book of 10 get a special rate of $20. Remember it’s posted here, the top of Domaining.com and in the Domaining.com newsletter that goes to 18,000 people. Contact me to book

CreateTheHype.com   In a day with very few good names I thought this was a pretty solid marketing name for $12.  No bidders. 12 years old.  And we all know hype is created

OceansOne.com  Upgrade name for many hotels and places

92388.com  I get the 88 at the end.  From my research this is a $200 name….or a $1000 name.  I just know that 88 and 888 is good

GRNB.com  Not a bad letter in the group

VapeOil.com  Vape pens can smoke marijuana oil and not have that pot smell.  I just heard all this from Mark.  Ride the trend

DnShow.com  The generic for DomainSherpa

FriendTrend.com  Because some people care

TDRP.com  Good letters. 16 years old

Yessa.com  Good 5L.com brand with no bidders.  15 years old

Veat.com    A meat alternative, va jay jay heat.  So many uses

4TN.com  I like Tennessee.  Drove through there once and it seemed pretty nice

WCUA.com   Radio or TV call letters….or just an acronym.  14 years old

DailyTraining.com  Training sites do pretty well.  No bidders here so it would have been cheap.

Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day.. $.99 Dot Com Registration or Transfer (plus ICANN fees) gofd2002ab

Conceited.com  Saw it on the future list but figured a few of us should go ahead and get in on the bidding.

Humei.com   A city in China.  That’s all I got

InvasiveSpecies.org  I know this is really important to a lot of people because they call me about it all the time and even gave me a little poster listing all the invasive species.

BelizeRetirement.com   English speaking, great weather, great retirement area.  Auction price is cheaper than the cost of a carry-on on Spirit Airlines.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure. Send me an email. I may be able to help.

*All names chosen by me, Shane, and the goal of this list is to have all links be paid through commission (click through and purchase a name you like) or paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct.

  1. I wonder why you need to shrink your portfolio. As far as you are selling domains and cash flow is there you can re-invest in domains and grow your portfolio by keeping quality names and that will also increase the number of inquiries…
