Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Friday, September 1st, 2023

One of the things that I have experienced quite a bit in life over my last 30 years of working is the comedown. By come down, I mean that period of time right after something great happens. Maybe its being up in the mountains trying to reach a peak. Perhaps a week at the nursery where we have a big job or activity that needs to be done. Working on a big project with a deadline. Running a big race. A point where all your concentration goes into something and you are pushing and pushing to try and accomplish something special. Laser focus and nothing else comes into play from the outside and if it does, you don’t notice. It’s where I thrive. I love uncomfortable. I love all in. It’s the days after I struggle.

I struggle because the intensity is gone. The anticipation of accomplishment or judgment on your work is over. It’s the after you get the girl. The great energy is in the chase. Of course, you can do a new thing, and find a new goal, but that doesn’t come quickly. The in-between chores and “normal” work seem monotonous and boring. When I spend a week on a mountain it takes another week to adjust back to regular life. For a week I have been concentrating on footing, energy, and routes. I have been grinding and worrying about conserving my energy for pushes each day. Coming back and worrying about Mrs. Johnson’s dead roses doesn’t provide the same dopamine rush of the mountain.

It’s where I find myself today. I’ve played around for 10 months but I need to go back to work. I am not getting those projects, activities, and challenges that I love. I need to have goals and do daily tasks that give me reason. I want to work in the domain space but looking for the right company and opportunity. It’s as much about the people I work with as what we are building. I prefer to be #2 and not the driver. I’ve been the driver for 30 years and now I want to be part of a team, decisions made by partners. We’ll see what comes up but I am definitely looking now. Time to get back to work

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
