Everyone has a plan. Everyone has ideas. Clubhouse yet again reminded me that people think and talk a lot. But the doing takes too much work. Too much time. Great ideas are plentiful. And they can be profitable. All it takes is patience, and months and years of work behind them to become life-changing entities. It’s a slap in the face to the people that have put in the work to casually say that you had time to do it with hundreds of domains. If things go really really well you might be able to get one or two real businesses going or a few dozen Shopify sites. If I hear another person describe a domain they are tryihng to sell by saying “I was going to build it out as a “insert idea” and I going to scream at someone. There was ZERO percent chance they were going to build it out. How many successful things have they built out to show they even the skills or team to build anything of value? Most likely zero. They bought a name. A 2nd grader can buy a domain. What would be truthful is “I see someone else building a site that does this X”. I am saying this because I used to be that person. That was until I tried to build things out. It’s a bitch. It takes a lot of work. And even then it is always being worked on and improved. I have 4 things I am building at the same time and I realized I just couldn’t get number 4 done so I hired someone who is better than me to do it. It’s not cheap to do it right. You could hire overseas writers and VA but there is a difference in what you get vs someone that actually knows and works with the product. I’ve said it a lot this month. If you think there is money is selling domains you should check out the money being made by the companies that buy them. I want to own those companies.
