I know many people think they can handle negotiations better than Afternic and GoDaddy, and now they’re going to get their chance. I’ve heard through the grapevine that self-service negotiations will be coming to Afternic. It doesn’t appear to come with a reduced commission, but since you’re better than them, you’ll end up getting a better price.
Of course, you could always list on Afternic while using a lander on Efty or a Carrd.co lander to do that now. That way, you’re on the registration path of the biggest domain platform in the world while also having the ability to capture data from visitors landing on your page.
Then there’s Atom, which does a better job than anyone with brandable domains and attracting companies actively searching for names. There are literally endless ways to sell your domains. The key to all of this? Get them in front of as many people as possible. Only then do you even reach the negotiation stage—a stage many buyers hate and would rather skip in favor of a Buy-It-Now (BIN) option. So there’s that too.
Quote of the Day: If you looked at September 1986 to October ’87, the market was unchanged. It had a thousand points up and a thousand points down and they only remember the down. -Peter Lynch
Domain of the Day: Waves.ai Now at $2200. I like this one a lot but it looks like others do as well

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.* All names chosen by us. (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
